1. The Cliff – Take A Leap
This week is all about focus… are you aware that when you have a thought, or a belief, that your consciousness will search for evidence to prove that to you…. Sooo, if you think people are horrid, or the Government is a certain way, or you are not worthy, lovable or good enough – then your consciousness will find evidence of that.
So it’s really important this week to look for evidence of what you love, or what you would love to manifest so that not only will your consciousness seek and find, but also so that you will start CREATING the experiences you DO want.
Faith it and you’ll make it.
2. Dolphin Love
This week you will find ways to actually put your dreams into action… take steps towards manifesting your dream home. Remember though, that not only is home where the heart is, but most importantly you must be at home in your own heart first, to feel at home anywhere.
Dolphins represent unconditional love, and fun. Where can you incorporate those qualities more in your family, friends and business/work connections? It time to take a trip or adventure? There’s nothing like returning home afterwards to appreciate the magic you actually already have!
3. Spiral Healing
The spiral is an ancient symbol of health, healing and journeying… it is a symbol represented in our very DNA. We are changing as a species and our planet is changing too. Be gentle with yourself this week because you will feel the emotions of others, and Mother Earth DEEPLY. Drink a lot of pure water, imbue your food and drink with love, consume it with gratitude and consciousness. Remember balance is important this week as we build to a full moon. Aloha!
Your connections with humans, hearts and nature is increasing. Honour your sacred connections, especially with the natural world including spirits of trees, flowers, angels and sprites. Use the ancient Shamanic technique of gazing where you just focus without blinking (as much as you can) for 5-15 minutes on one spot. Have fun with it! You might just see some magic 😉

222 2222 New Beginnings…
What does it mean when you see the number 2 repeated?
Synchronicity and messages come through in many ways, especially repeated numbers. You might see it as the date, or on clocks, the time, car registration numbers, telephone numbers, receipts, change or the total on your receipt.
So what does 222 mean?
Well, it’s a very good sign. The new moon is closely linked with the number 2, when you see repetitive 2 it is a sign of NEW BEGINNINGS… It is saying – keep going, do not to give up, be patient. Your seed is just below the soil, ready to sprout into a beautiful flower (or your creation). Just because you can’t see anything, it doesn’t mean it’s not developing. More on the stages of creation and manifestation below.
222 or other groups of ‘2’ are reminding you to stay positive… don’t lose hope just before your seed shoots through the soil, to the light of day and full manifestation.
Celebrate your humanness, your dreams are coming true, keep going and…..
It is a reminder to take it easy! You ARE on the way to manifesting your dreams.. You just need to ‘do the work’ every single day, every single nano second – and know that even on the most miserable days, your manifestations ARE coming through…. like seeds, sprouting, slowing reaching the light of day… If you give up just before the seed bursts through the soil you miss the manifestation.
In terms of creating and manifesting our dreams, we can describe it in the following steps:
A Dream, New Vision or Realisation
You have a dream… you meet a teacher or a mentor who shows you another way – your “Soul’s Path”.
You have a glimpse of another possibility, another life choice. It could be a new business, relationship, health choice and so on.
You get super excited as it seems SO real, believable and possible.
This is your “Call To Adventure” as Joseph Campbell describes it in his book “The Hero’s Journey“. You meet a teacher or a guide, and you commit to your dream or vision. This is the path of the heart.
By accepting the call, and remaining excited, following the breadcrumb trail of joy – you eventually manifest your dreams. It helps to be trained in tapping into your intuition in an accurate, tangible way. Then you totally know if you are being motivated by fear… or love (the heart/imagination/intuition).
Doubt, Challenge & Testing
In the second stage of the journey, doubt, challenges and tests arise… You’ve got clarity on your dream, and the vision you would like to manifest, but then the mind takes over….. FEAR!
The job of the mind (or ego) is to protect you. Its sole job is your survival…. literally! This was necessary back in the days of cave dwelling, but nowadays the mind can go into overdrive and actually take you AWAY from your heart’s path, and your dreams (it thinks it’s protecting you).
The ego sees you are about to do something new… and it fears for your safety and survival (if you keep doing what you’ve been doing, it’s quite happy – even if is not good for you… because you have not died… literally, its job is to keep you alive – it’s that simple – and crazy).
When you think about following your heart it freaks out!
In this stage, the ego has been alerted to the fact that you might be taking the path of the heart and it sees that as scary… it’s got its ‘alert!’ hat on 🙂
Whatever area you are thinking about changing, different scenarios might come up…
If you consider leaving the ‘known’, worries arise – you’ve trained long and hard at your job – to be a lawyer, a teacher, a television producer (my past career) or whatever the job you are considering leaving that simply isn’t bringing you joy – so fear comes up and you think you can’t give it up. You doubt whether your new venture will be a success… ‘Maybe doing fabulous, enjoyable work is for others, the dreamers, not me….’ you think.
You don’t think you can leave your marriage because of that bit of paper and those promises you made a looooong time ago. You worry about what others will think and say. You think maybe you should compromise.
You don’t think you can manifest your dream home, or move and live somewhere else and all sorts of worries come up. The dreaded word ‘HOW’ bugs you as you ‘try’ to work out the entire journey from where you are to your manifested dream.
I actually suggest that my clients refrain from using the word ‘how’ as it catapults them firmly into the left, logical brain. Nothing wrong with the left brain, but it is limited to what you have learned and experienced, whereas the right brain is unlimited… It is the sphere of the imagination, intuition, synchronicity, magic, and love. You need both sides of your brain to manifest successfully. :)…
Whatever your story, whatever your dream there is something that needs to be released, and something that you need to commit to…. if you are to live a fantastic life, rather than a life of compromise, fear, loneliness… whatever your favourite ego flavour is ….
“The imagination is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”
“Imagination is more powerful than knowledge.”
So this is the stage where we doubt ourselves… many give up here … this is why so many equate dreams, desires, visions with pain and suffering.
Many give up for many years, or forever. We’re not taught to ‘break out of the system’ so to speak…
This is the stage of testing… are you committed to your dream … or not?
Anything that comes up and doubts your stage one (your vision), is stage two…
This stage is also a sort of ‘safety light switch’. You are being asked –
Are you sure you want to leave your job?
Are you sure you want to leave your relationship?
Are you sure you want to change your vibration and your life…
If you say YES you reach…..
Manifestation & Realisation That You Are A DMB (Divine Magnificent Being)
You manifest your dream!
It is time for CELEBRATION & COMPLETION!
Remember you’re a God, Goddess, divine magnificent being, spirit having a human experience… If you have a desire you CAN manifest it…. it is law! We are never given a dream, or a desire that is impossible to manifest.
In this stage, you begin to manifest more and more and more of what you love.
You start to FEEL the vibration of having manifested your dream. You let go… and before you know, you’ve either manifested it, or you realise you’ve manifested something even better. Often, when you are focussed on the ‘big’ dream, you look around and realise you have manifested something you wished for a very long time ago. When you take your mind (and fear) off it, you allow it to come into your life. A type of surrender… of the most powerful kind. That’s what ‘being in your power’ means – it is having a dream, and taking action to manifest it. You ‘do the work’. When you rise to the vibration – the feeling of having what you love… it comes rushing into your life…. 222 You need to keep your vibe high though! So the numbers 2, or repeated 2’s are saying don’t give up! It’s a message from your guides, whoever/wherever you seek your guidance from. It is spirit – your higher self, the angels, your ancestors – when they get your attention with repetitive numbers, it’s their way of communicating with you. You CAN do it! You are WELL CAPABLE. You are GOOD ENOUGH, YOU ARE LOVABLE and YOU ARE WORTHY!
You only want what you want, because in the having of it, you think you will feel better.. so feel good anyway!
So keep going, keep dreaming, spend more time in the dreams, imagining, playing than you do in your ‘stuff’ (negative beliefs, thoughts, feelings) and it WILL happen…. it is law!

One of my favourite ways to connect to my higher self, super conscious, wise one is through signs and symbols that come to me. I often see numbers and they each have a specific meaning… here is what 999 means to me.
It is your time, you are a Lightworker – get to work. No more procrastination, you have seen the signs, now go DO IT! You WILL be a success! My ‘definition’ of a lightworker is someone who is keen to make this world a better place! I actually prefer the word ‘lightplayer’.
Completion – This is the end of a big phase in your personal or global life. Also, it is a message to lightworkers involved in Earth healing and means, “Get to work because Mother Earth needs you right now.”
Holistic healing, wholeness, body as temple of Spirit, ultimate regeneration, resurrection, immortality, illumination, Divine communion, cosmic love, pure awareness, ego annihilation, Agape Love, Enlightenment.
999 (or similar 9999) This is a “Master Number”. When you see this number often there is a profound lesson or situation occurring that is bringing very important lessons for your soul’s accelerated growth. It can also be a sign from the heavens that you have completed a period of growth, you have “Mastered” so to speak. It is common during this time to end jobs, relationships and friendships that no longer serve your higher expression. However, the closing of one door always opens a new one and new experiences will flow in that resonate with who you are now or who you are becoming.

I was just about to message one of my mentors, and ask what to do when I feel totally overcome with love… which happens a lot recently.
The answer that came to me before… and again now, was this… share it.
So here I am – blogging – writing, with no idea where this is going … which is one of my favourite tings…. Making shit up. Good shit though. Sorry, but that’s pretty much the only word that will suffice right now… but it’s GOOD shit… ha ha, well I hope so; I hope it’s good for you. (a little ‘ps.’ here… in a totally inappropriate place… but if you’ve got writer’s block, or you want to tell a story… just start ‘making it up’… it’s another word for channeling… let me know how you get on, and if I’m making no sense at all, pop a comment below or ask me and I’ll explain more about this – but believe me, it’s magic… when you’re making ‘good’ stuff up.).
So, what are you making up? Do you make up good stuff?
When you’re feeling blue, what do you make up?
You see, something I realized recently was that our feelings come first, then the thoughts… often we have a feeling, and rather than just having it – feeling it… we make stuff up about it. We define ourselves, others or the world depending on the feeling. Often those thoughts really don’t serve us and enhance the shit feeling.
Howeverrrr…. I know that very often when I had a really GOOD feeling.. like I was feeling AMAZING my little (?!) ego, mind whatever you want to call it, would still make bad shit up! So, I’d find myself going ‘OMG I’m SO happy’, and then I’d hear my internal voice, or gremlin as I started to call it say something like; “Ah yes, but what about….”… (fill in the blank). My ego/mind would choose an area of my life I could worry about and my great feeling would totally dissipate and be replaced by a feeling of doom, fear, worry etc.

Right now though, I’m sitting in the evening sun, it’s a summery balmy evening, the sun is about an hour from setting, I can smell the oceanic fresh aroma, and feel the sensual salty sea breeze on my cheek. The birds are flying around my head, choosing where to settle tonight, the kids are playing down below –only a few weeks into the summer, yet about 75 shades browner than a few weeks ago before the summer break.
Life is good.
I am a lucky lady.
Right now, I feel gratitude, love, and a renewed faith in the words:

Follow Your Bliss & Resistance
The journey from the head to the heart is one of the hardest journeys you can take, such a short distance, but what a journey!
I have just realised that it’s not the promise of my dreams manifesting that keeps me going. At long last, it’s actually the journey itself that I’m enjoying. So many of my dreams have manifested – and they are even better than I ever imagined, and I’m excited to see the magic that emerges on the path of many, many more manifesting. What I’m learning to love more than the destination, are the learnings, adventures and growth walking the path that inspire and excite my heart and soul.
It reminds me of the words inscribed above the entrance of the Temple at Delphi, Greece; the oracle: “Above all else, know thyself.” Luckily, with that knowing comes self love…..
“Follow your bliss.
If you do follow your bliss,
you put yourself on a kind of track
that has been there all the while waiting for you,
and the life you ought to be living
is the one you are living.
When you can see that,
you begin to meet people
who are in the field of your bliss,
and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid,
and doors will open
where you didn’t know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss,
doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.”
Resistance (Or The ‘Resist Dance’ if you’re avoiding it)
All sorts of resistance can crop up on the heart path. The resistance comes cloaked in many disguises; illness, blocks, doubts, beliefs, challenges, accidents and so on and so forth.
I made a short video about this, but I’d love to know how Resistance shows up in your life and what you do about it.
After I made this video, I continued to be gentle with myself, and the day after, I woke up between 5 & 6 am (my bliss time), I downloaded some ideas and wrote for an hour. Then I got up and made myself some breakfast to take to the beach, walked the dog on the beach and cliffs for about an hour, went for a swim (!!! my TOTAL bliss !!! but something I strangely don’t do too often even though the beach is at the end of my road). Then I wrote my ‘artists pages’; simply put three pages of whatever flows out onto the page; it’s a wonderful way to clear the mind and start the day (a la Julia Cameron in ‘The Artist’s Way’). Oh yes, and I had my toasted brie sandwich when I came out of the water – HEAVEN, it was still warm as it had been in the sun all that time. Cold disappeared… seems like I’ve moved through my resistance 😉
Note to self, write another blog soon about ‘ascension symptoms’ (illnesses that appear as the vibration of the planet and OUR vibration rise), but they are not ‘normal’ illness, and with TLC can disappear almost instantly. They can manifest as tiredness, lethargy, depression, insomnia, illness of any kind… they are all down to our vibration changing. The more you attach to ‘the illness you ‘think’ you have, the more power you’re giving it, and the more it will manifest. Instead, have a choice above all else to ‘be healthy’.

What do you do when life gets on top of you?

13. Feel it to heal it. For more on this, check out my ‘Soul Discovery Method’ which guides you to move out of the unpleasant emotion you are feeling, and feel PEACE click here. Simply put, ask yourself what you are feeling, and where in your body, then stay with that emotion, breathe until it dissipates. As I said, if you need guidance on this, click above for the process. Once you go through it with me, you can use it and get back on top in a few seconds!
12. Meditate or Simply BREATHE! Take some slow, deep, conscious breaths. You can’t think when you are breathing deeply & consciously… give yourself a mini holiday and BREATHE! When you meditate in the morning, you set the tone for the day. There’s less of a chance you will need any of these emergency ‘go to’ tools. You can just sit and focus on the breath, or check out Abraham Hicks or Doreen Virtue meditations which I love… (or sign up on my website www.SouldDiscoveryCoaching.com for a free meditation and other juicy gifts).
11. Move Your Body – Exercise or Dance. Take a walk, spend time in NATURE, or just admire a flower or a plant. When you exercise for 20 minutes, you increase your heartbeat which in turn changes your physiology and automatically makes you feel better. So MOVE IT!
10. Cuddle your pet, or borrow one to cuddle!
9. Imagine. Think about the people you love. Imagine their smiling faces, and feel your heart open.
8. Smile! This automatically releases endorphins the ‘feel good’ hormones – even faking a smile will make you feel better. Endorphins make us feel happier, less stressed and they are natural painkillers!
7. 100% Responsibility… One of the greatest things I learned was that NOBODY can make us feel anything, and I am 100% responsible for my life.
Sometimes it’s difficult to remember that, and avoid blame; we are human after all. When the proverbial you know what hits the fan, it’s SO easy to go into blame. Even though it can be a toughie, it is actually SO empowering. Whatever the situation, whatever somebody has done or said to trigger us, if you can remember that you are 100% responsible, then you have the power to change it, how you are feeling AND your reaction. We can’t change others unfortunately lol….
“Let what you want to change, change you.”
6. Write. Download whatever is on your mind – better out than in.
5. Let it all out! If you are REALLY angry and you can’t shift it, turn the music up, get on the bed, get a pillow and rant, rave, shout and have a pillow fight with the bed!
4. Write A Letter. If you are sad/angry with someone. Express how you are feeling in a letter. This is an old shamanic tool and the other person feels it on an energetic level too! Put EVERYTHING you want to say in the letter. Then tear it up, or burn it. This releases the emotions and leaves you in a clearer space. If you still need to communicate with them, you have released the emotions so you are in a clearer space. When communicating, simply take responsibility for YOUR emotions… stick to the current situation, rather than bringing in the past. Be clear about the resolution you would love… and detach from outcome.
3. What is the blessing or learning? Look for the blessing in the situation. If you have trust that there will be a learning, or blessing, it changes how you feel, and allows you to …..
2. Be Thankful. Express gratitude for even the littlest thing in your life…. you have ALWAYS something to be grateful for. This will shift your mood and it’s a great way to start the spiral up to feeling on top again.

A 20″ Hug Releases Oxytocin, Making You Happier
I believe that we are triggered until we heal our ‘stuff’… it doesn’t mean that one day we will be perfect… but you know when you get angry over something silly, or sad, or you feel grief, sometimes it’s totally out of proportion to the situation.
“It’s never about what it’s about.”
We are simply triggered so that we feel the emotions we have buried away since childhood. When we feel and heal all that anger, sadness etc. we free ourselves up to walk more easily and joyfully through life. It’s Equniox time! At “Equinox” daytime and nighttime are of approximately the same duration. It is a time where the light and dark are in equal balance, its opposite is Solstice which occurs in the summer. Our ancestors were very connected with the mystical and powerful properties of Equinox and Solstice. They honored these times with ceremony and celebration. It is a time of endings and new beginnings. They are the ‘still times’, before the new season, the mid point of the year. The ‘in between’ and ‘unknown’…the place where magic, mystery and miracles dwell to be woken up and tapped into. You can tap into this power for your own life with the awareness of this potent gap in time.
“As above, so below.” Honor this time of rejuvenation, refreshment and rebirth; here are some tips to get you in tune with the force of nature that you are in essence!
8. Create an altar
It’s a great time to create an altar, get some flowers, incense, candles, sage and objects with special meaning and place them with intention. It’s a great focus for meditation and a sacred place to go to when you need some time out. If you already have an altar, you could freshen it up by adding fresh flowers, a crystal or something special.
Do so with intention… what do they represent? Intentions? Gratitude? An honoring of your ancestors, or your love life, or your career or another area of your life? Play with it. Visualize your life just as you would love it.
Take some time to really quiet the mind. The easiest way to do this is to stop and take some slow, deep, conscious breaths. This quiets the mind and connects you with your spirit. A quiet mind can receive guidance, inspiration and ‘aha’ moments.
Create a sacred space and time to write down what you wish to manifest or create in the next 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years. What legacy would you like to leave the planet with?
‘When you look back at your life, what are the 5 things you have done, that you are most proud of?”
Treat your journal as your new best friend. You know the phrase ‘better out than in’? Well, if your head is full of worries, jot them down in your journal. It will clear your mind, and allow inspiration and guidance to come through.
5. Clear your space
Space clearing, cleaning, clearing out clutter is a great way to say to the Universe “I am ready! I’ve created new, clear, sacred space to allow what I love into my life.”
Psychologically you’re clearing house, and ensuring that you set up the conditions for more of what you love in life. For more info on the power of this, just check out any feng shui websites or books. If there is a particular area of your life you’d like more luck with, it will represent a corner of your home, so check it out, and clear that space.
4. Plant seeds!
There’s always something you can plant – at any time of the year. Even if you don’t have seeds, tend to your garden, or sent an intention. What would you like to grow?
Apart from honoring mother earth, and your creative abilities, planting seeds or ideas is a wonderful way to ground yourself. When you are grounded, you can connect to divine inspiration and bring more of heaven to earth in your life. Living in heaven on earth is the new paradigm… it is just about changing your perception and seeing the magic already in your life! Then more, and more and more…
3. Greet the sunrise
Sunrise is a very sacred time of the day, especially at Equinox!
I ADORE Rumi; this is one of my favourite quotations written by him;
“The breezes at dawn have secrets to tell you
Don’t go back to sleep!
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep!
People are going back and forth
across the doorsill where the two worlds touch,
The door is round and open
Don’t go back to sleep!”
I can honestly say, that in all the years that I got out of bed when I woke before sunrise, I’ve had the BEST day ever. It really sets you up for the day.
Write a list of things you are grateful for.
Every morning when you wake up, before anything… recite the things you are grateful for.
No matter how you are feeling it WILL make you feel better. One of my favourite mentors used to say ‘Mood Is Everything’. It is SO true… when you feel good, you magnetize more magic into your life.
Write a list of awesome things about you – and read them out to friend. Get them to validate you, and add to your list. Then swap. If you feel like your confidence and self worth needs a boost, that’s a great thing to do!
1. Hold A Ceremony
When nighttime and daytime are of equal duration, it reflects our male and female energies in balance… as light and dark are balanced in the world, so it is a great time to focus on balance in your life.
Whatever your ceremony involves, if you bring the quality of ‘sacredness’ to it, it will be perfect. I also love to include FUN in my ceremonies. After all, that’s why we are on planet earth!
Remember to honor your ancestors, spirit guides, power animals, angels, Ascended Masters, or whoever you seek guidance from.

One of the things I realized on my journey to leave behind my life of illness, scarcity, and loneliness was that I needed to find the common thread between why most areas of my life simply weren’t working. I just read a post on Facebook by the wonderful Elizabeth Gilbert, author of ‘Eat Pray Love’ which was also a film starring Julia Roberts, and most recently the fabulous ‘Big Magic’.
Her post was a call to women to simply love themselves – ALL of themselves. This is totally my philosophy, and what I work with in sessions with clients – when you love whatever arises, you see the treasure in the tough times, and alchemise them into the next steps on your path to creating everything you love.
Having just spent some time totally confined to bed with the yukky ‘shingles’ – I’m slowly recovering as I integrate all the learnings and gifts I’ve received while ill. I did A LOT of soul searching over the last few weeks and among the realisations was this gem. It’s nothing new to me… but I got it, on a deeper, more profound, juicy level. I am celebrating!

I’m worried about something. I’m worried about how much we hate ourselves.
When I say “we”, I mean modern people in the developed Western world, primarily. And among that population, it is the women who hate themselves most of all — who harm themselves, sabotage themselves, bully themselves, undermine themselves, and speak to themselves in voices of unthinkable cruelty.
Increasingly, I believe that the vast majority of our suffering is a result of this epidemic. And I am CERTAIN that everything you want for your life — everything you want to feel and believe and become — is on the other side of that dark river of self-hatred and self-abuse.
We have to stop this.
I won’t be talking today about the causes of our self-hatred. I don’t want to drift into the easy blame of “the media’s images of women”, or “the patriarchy”, or “the internet” or “the emotional disconnect of the post-industrial world” or even “our fucked up families.” Because you know what? I DON’T KNOW. I’m not smart enough to know what this is all about, or where the self-hatred comes from. I just know that it’s prevalent, it’s contagious, it’s really dangerous, and that we are destroying ourselves with it.
Sharon Salzberg, the great American meditation master, tells a story about meeting the Dalai Lama in 1990. She asked him what he thought about self-hatred, and he replied, “Self-hatred? What is that?”
Seriously. He didn’t know what she was talking about. He kept probing: How could people be taught to hate THEMSELVES?
The room was filled with Western meditators, scientists, pyschologists, and researchers, and over the next hours they tried to explain it to the Dalai Lama — tried to answer his puzzled question of how a person could be taught to hate themself. But he remained puzzled. He said, at the end of it all, “I thought I had a good acquaintance with the mind, but now I feel quite ignorant. I find this very, very strange.”
Unlike the Dalai Lama, I know self-hatred inside and out, you guys. I know self-blame, shame, self-recrimination, and I have certainly experienced rage against my own machine. I know what it feels like to look at every molecule of your being (physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual) and declare: NOT GOOD ENOUGH, KID. And I know that this way lies madness. Madness and pain, and the death of all good things.
I also know this — that the answer is not to become A BETTER PERSON. The answer is not to IMPROVE. The answer is not TO GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. And this is coming from somebody who loves improving, who loves striving, and who is always trying to get her shit together. Look, trying to improve yourself is FINE, if that’s what you’re into. Exercise more, eat better, become more productive, de-clutter your house — whatever. Getting your shit together is very nice. Do all that stuff, if you want to. (I certainly do all that stuff, and I don’t judge it.) But understand this — PEACE WILL NOT BE FOUND THERE. Your house can be so tidy that you could invite Marie Kondo over for dinner with pride, and maybe someday you can achieve rock-hard abs, and maybe someday you could get out debt, and land your dream job, finally stop drinking….and you might STILL hate yourself.
Because the darkness of self-hatred is immune to any worldly accomplishment or success. Achievement does not touch the part of yourself who abuses yourself. The world is filled with highly successful and accomplished people who treat themselves horribly, who talk to themselves savagely, and who abuse themselves terribly. If you could see inside their heads and witness the dreadful conversations going on in there, you would be shocked. You would be shocked, and maybe you would cry. And maybe you would want to take that highly successful and deeply troubled person in your arms and say, “There, there, little small one…there, there…hush, hush…”
Peace will only be found when you can love all the parts of yourself that you have always hated.
I used to think that self-love would only come to me when I had “cleaned up my act” — only when I had gotten rid of all my bad behaviors, only when I had mastered my mind, only when I had driven out all the negative thoughts, only when I had forgiven everyone for everything, only when I had made amends for every mess I had ever caused, only when I could see divinity in everybody, only when I never lost my temper, only when I no longer experienced “bad” emotions like anger, jealousy, resentment, self-pity. In other words, I could not love myself until I had become WORTHY.
Which means…what? Which means: I believed that I could not love myself until I was some kind of polished golden orb of perfection, with an immaculately-controlled mind, a healthy body, and a totally clean record. Someone who would never make another misstep, never speak another unkind word, never be a fuck-up again in any way whatsoever…ever. Then I could love myself.
But who is that? Who is that person I have just described?
That person is nobody. That person is no human being who has ever lived.
And once you realize that, then you realize that we are all this same boat together. That everything you hate about yourself is nothing less than your HUMANITY. Your shared humanity. That you and I, and your neighbor Bob, and your awful sister-in-law, and all those shiny people on Instagram…that we all share the same human dilemma — that we all don’t totally know how to BE, and what to do with ourselves. We all have these strange minds full of incomprehensible thoughts. We all have these untrustworthy hearts that often want forbidden things. We all have these funny ape-like bodies with weird urges. We all have these enormous souls filled with a desperate longing for belonging.
You are no different from me, and I am no different from your neighbor Bob, and your neighbor Bob is no different from your awful sister-in-law, and your awful sister-in-law is no different from all those shiny people on Instagram. There is a massive sense of tenderness that comes over me when I remember that we are all the same in our shared dilemma of how to be a person. We are all in this together. We are a bizarre but beautiful species. And if you believe that human beings need love, and deserve love…then you must someday grow into the belief that YOU also need love and deserve love, and that you must stop being so stingy about giving it to yourself.
You must not think that love is something you give to yourself as a reward, only if you have earned it — like some kind of gold star sticker that you get to put on your homework today if you are good…but maybe not tomorrow, if you fuck up.
You have to give yourself love all the time.
Giving yourself love doesn’t mean that every day is spa day. (Although, hey. If you can swing it…) Giving yourself love doesn’t mean buying yourself fancy presents, or constantly treating yourself, or spoiling yourself. (You are not SEDUCING yourself, remember. You are not trying to get yourself in bed. You are just being kind and loving to yourself.) Giving yourself love doesn’t mean becoming Kanye-like in your insistence that you are the greatest.
You are not the greatest. But you are also not the WORST. And I bet there have been days of your life (maybe years of your life) where all you do is walk around telling yourself that you are the WORST. And I bet that nothing good has ever come out of that way of thinking.
You are not the greatest, and you are not the worst. You are just one of us.
I have tried a radical experiment recently. I call it: THE EXTREME LOVE EXPERIMENT.
Whenever I have a dark thought — a “forbidden” thought, like anger, jealousy, resentment, lust, shame, contempt — I immediately say to myself, “I love the part of you, Liz, who is full of anger right now.”
or: “I love the part of you who is ashamed of yourself right now.”
or: “I love the part of you who can’t stop judging yourself right now.”
or: “I love the part of you who feels weak and helpless right now.”
or: ‘I love the part of you who just had an explicitly violent fantasy about watching that person who is talking loudly on her cellphone suddenly have her head blow up.”
or: “I love the part of you who is still having an argument in your head with a man you haven’t talked to in 15 years.”
or: “I love the part of you who broke your New Year’s resolution on January 4th.”
or: “I love the part of you who believes that she is such a spiritual hypocrite, it’s ridiculous.”
or: “I love the vain/insecure part of you who stands in front of the mirror lifting up the dangly flesh on your neck and wondering if there’s some kind of plastic surgery for that.”
or: “I love the part of you who is jealous of that other novelist for winning that big award.”
I used to try to banish all those parts of myself. Because they were BAD. They were WRONG. They were UNEVOLVED. They were NEGATIVE.
But banishing the parts of myself that I hated has never worked. The more I try to banish them, the stronger they grow. The more I hated these parts of myself, the more they multiplied. It’s like my self-hatred was fertilizer — creating a dark, warm, nourishing environment for all those “bad” thoughts and impulses to grow…and as they grew, they destroyed me.
Now I just say to the dark thought, “I love this part of you”…and the dark thought loses its power.
I understand now that I am not a SELF. I am SELVES. I am thousands of different selves — and all of them are worthy of love.
To say, “I love you,” is the only force strong enough to diffuse darkness.
And here’s the crazy thing — this habit is starting to spread out of me, and I can now do it toward others.
For instance, I now have the capacity to think: “I love the part of my husband who is constantly interrupting me. This is just his weird humanity at play.”
Followed by: “And I love the part of me who gets so freaking irritated about how my husband is constantly interrupting me.”
Followed by: “I love the part of me who doesn’t really BELIEVE that I love the part of my husband who is constantly interrupting me.”
Followed by: “I love the part of me who is saying that this EXTREME LOVE EXPERIMENT is total bullshit, and it will never work.”
Followed by: “I love the part of me who wonders if I will ever truly love myself.”
And it goes on like that. But I go on, too. I just keep throwing love at everything that comes up…until finally it all gently quiets down.
And it does all finally gently quiet down.
I love all these dark parts of myself not because they are wonderful and adorable and perfect and fantastic, but because they are THERE. My dark bits are with me and they will likely always be with me. Just as your dark parts are with you and will likely always be with you. All that is there needs to be loved.
As they say: “It’s not a bug; it’s a FEATURE.”
Our humanity is not an ERROR. Our crazy thoughts are not MISTAKES. Our scary longings and giant failures and ongoing disasters are not ABERRATIONS.
This is merely what it is to be a person — messy, weird, inconsistent, doubtful. This is how we ARE, and that has to be OK, or else nobody is OK.
We are not some early Dell Computer Operating System, here to be de-bugged. We are not some new product for sale, here to be perfected. The goal is not to become an immaculate golden orb. The goal is to return to a place of kindness, where you can be gentle with yourself and others, no matter what arises. This requires, I think, a friendly sort of loving humor about who you are and who we all are. Why does the Dalai Lama have such a twinkle about him? Because he gets it. He gets that it’s kind of funny, how we are. Even when it’s terrible. The whole thing is…very, very strange. And that’s OK. It’s strange, but it’s sacred.
And I believe there no is gentler or safer place to stand on this earth than in a place where you can say to yourself, “I love every bit of you, you beautiful freak.”
The Buddha said it better, of course. The Buddha said, “You can search the whole world over and never find anyone as deserving of love as yourself.”
In other words: Be good to you, OK?
Please put down the knife you have been holding to your own throat. You don’t deserve that kind of abuse, and it won’t help.
Just try it. Try saying to your scariest bits: “I love this part of you.”
And then say it again to the next part…and the next part…and the next part…and the next part…and ONWARD.

I just saw a post on facebook saying that the world is going to end, the polar ice caps are melting etc. etc. Lots of ranting, fear-mongering and debate.
Now, I am definitely not going to DENY this and that there is big change afoot and that a lot of people treat this planet disgracefully. However, I know in my heart that when we focus on this, when we give our energy to it, this is what we create.
I feel angry – which is interesting, because I think a lot of these ranters are angry and fearful… they totally push my buttons and I must make a stand.
This was a heart and love motivated post, because I had a big energetic push, followed by a strange dizziness, almost like I was being overcome by spirit telling me I had to speak up… This is is funny because the lovely man who posted the notice wrote a book about the end times and how we pretty much eventually ruin the earth. It’s a wonderful book… however, it looks at ONE possible future… if there’s one thing I’ve learned from my Shamanic studies and life experiences, it’s that there are MANY possible futures, and what manifests is what we focus on. It’s where most of our energy goes… that’s the path and end result we create.
I am passionate that I balance this perspective, because by default, ever since I was a child I used positivity to survive. For many years during my spiritual awakening, time doing therapy, and various deeply transformational studies and courses, I realised how this was a shadow of mine… so I’ve brought it to the light, I’m aware of it, and interestingly enough, I actually became a little embarrassed of my positivity for a while. I was actually ashamed that I was positive. Yes, there was truth in the fact that often I wasn’t being ‘real’ about current reality, and I hoped that my positive thinking would create the manifesations/end results I wanted…. often they didn’t, for various reasons I won’t go into on this blog, but that brings me to the present moment… NOW, I’m a Positive Real Feeler…. I simply KNOW what resonates, and the future of the earth being destroyed by us does NOT resonate – for me, personally.
I received this information from a version of my future self. The news is as follows:
My name is Tobin, and I am a 45 year old man. I have three kids and a beautiful wise woman wife… She is my voice, my inspiration, my reason for being. We are twin souls and it is like a dream come true to be alive, together, creating children in this life.
We are in the year AD 60,000 and earth is a magnificent place to be…..
There is fruit which you do not know… not from genetically modifying, but actually by marvelling at the fruit and veg we do love and know, and from that marvelling and adoration, new species came into being.
A heart swell is what creates… when we eat something we love, we speak to the cells in the food, it gives us more nutrients and what we naturally need to be high vibrational, energetic, joyful beings, but also it communicates with future energy of the foods which are coming into being so that earth is constantly looking after us, and creating more and more of what we love.
The dinosaurs were not particularly loved, so it’s not a problem that they died out.
I know that in your day, you are fearing melting of ice caps and so on and so forth. There are photos of beautiful white polar bears stranded, and it evokes fear in the people… especially the powerful manifesters, those with gentle, pure, loving hearts. It is actually the messages, and fears of those people which can do the most damage to your planet. When these sensitive beings are hiding away, or doing whatever they do when they are feeling pain, they transmit tht fear to everyone, especially the animals who may be at risk.
You are all one… the animals that are in danger – FEEL that pain, and that fear is a damaging manifestation focus for them.
We know you are often confused and upset, but believe me, it is all working out perfectly.
You have a sacred plant, which is becoming stronger and stronger – Cacao. There is a love energy in this plant, imbued with knowledge, light, wisdom… which really are all the same thing. This plant brings balance to earth beings and actually also heightens their love experiences, and their connection with their higher selves, other dimensional beings and interplanetary beings also.
We are in agreement that your planet is changing, but, what is leaving your planet needs to go elsewhere. What is missing now is what you WOULD love to create. It is essential that more of the focus is made on that.
It might take sometime for everyone to be focussed on the same outcome… but right now, YOU – you who are reading this, what kind of a planet would you like to create?
As you tap into your heart wisdom, you will get more and more clarity about your own life, your legacy, your children’s lives… In the end, everyone wants the same. LOVE. To be in a world of love. The more you start to focus on that… the more that feeling will have a greater percentage focussing on it. I mentioned Cacao… there is a Spirit present in Cacao, and as the indigenous myth says ‘whenever the balance between humans & nature becomes threatened, cacao comes from the rainforest to open people’s hearts & return the planet to a state of harmony’. Cacao is not necessary, but she is a great help in guiding you from your head to your heart, and allowing you to experience the state of Oneness, Flow and Love.
There are many, conspiracy theorists, environmentalists and those who are concerned for the well-being of the earth. There are others who fight for all sorts of ‘worthy’ causes… it is crucial that they shift their focus on to what they DO love, otherwise they are actually fighting a losing battle, and they are actually giving power to the people they are fighting.…
It’s like the power of the consciousness of a human being… you might think you want a life parter, and a wonderful relationship, but if your main belief is that you are unworthy or unlovable… you will not get or maintain this relationship. It is the same with our focus in terms of saving the planet or creating peace… if your predominant belief is that it is impossible to have a world of love and peace, or of having a healthy planet is not likely… so it is.
We come to you in love.
We come to you from a place of infinite bliss…. Imagine your most wonderful days, times, moments…. When you felt like you were full of love, full of joy, full of the essence of bliss… that is our being, that is our way. It IS possible… when you choose those emotions, when you feel them NOW, doing whatever you are doing….. That is the future you are creating for yourself.
Aho my loves
I have learned that the power to create our future, our new world is in the highs, of the vibrations we feel… when we look for evidence of an incredible, love-filled world, that is what we see.
Forgiveness is key too, if someone goes against you, your beliefs, if they’re different to you, if they do or say something negative, you must let it go… release and let go.
I have also learned that being aware of everything that goes on within us is a chance to create… it’s a sign from above and it is a part of our life purpose, and the jigsaw that goes to make up the incredible beauty of our lives.
We all have a part to play in this game of life, and it IS a game, that is what Tobin said… when you read between the lines anyway….we are all in this together and we don’t have to believe another’s point of view, we simply have to be curious.
I hasten to add that it is advantageous to be curious about the experiences, things, life stories which will serve you to live and experience. If you are curious about things you do NOT want to experience then that is what you may manifest.
Energy goes where attention flows, energy flows where attention goes.

At this time of the year many can find themselves suffering from stress, depression and anxiety. Although it feels like they’re DOING lots, as they rush around, often they don’t feel very productive. With demands in many areas of their life, feeling like a hamster on a wheel they realise that when it is time to relax, it’s not so easy, with insomnia, or low quality sleep and when the holidays arrive they often end up ill!
The ramifications are that they don’t reach their potential on any level; mental, emotional, physical or spiritual…. but they DO suffer on many levels.
* A recent survey showed that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, and is actually more deadly than all forms of cancer combined.
* 40% of all work-related illnesses were caused by stress.
* The main causes of stress are:
* Job Pressure
* Poor Nutrition
* Sleep Deprivation
* Media Overload (which probably moves up the scale at times like this).
If you find those statistics shocking, beware you don’t hit the other end of the scale and choose to do nothing as this can make you more unhappy than anything!
It’s never too late to create a new life, to choose the life you love, the state of mind you would like to experience EVERY single day.
Deepak Chopra who bridges the worlds of allopathic and alternative health, in his wonderful book ‘Timeless Body, Ageless Mind’ says that the cells in our body are constantly regenerating so we actually have a new body every 7 years!
So why do some people continue to manifest the same illnesses? Their thoughts and feelings stay the same; negative, so the same illnesses manifest. This often happens down through generations of families as we learn the same way to cope – or not cope with stress!
There’s a strong connection with how we relate to the aging process, how we respond to the world, our minds, our emotions and spirituality… and ‘spirituality’ can be as simple as taking a deep, conscious breath…
There are some really easy, quick, wonderful ways to allow you to stop and smell the coffee… and unfortunately one of them isn’t drinking coffee (unless you drink it in moderation, and treat it as a sacred act – my personal tip :).

10. Create A ‘Ta Da’ List
Rather than a ‘to do’ list, this is a list of the things you’d like to accomplish in a time period, and focus on how you’d love your life, year, week, or day to be.
Start with a three year period, then two years, one year, 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, 1 week ….. Then focus on each day, then work in 3 hour periods and really FOCUS on an end result you’d like to accomplish…. IGNORE anything else. This is a facebook, telephone, text FREE zone 🙂 Ensure you tick things off as you achieve them, psychologically this is a very powerful thing to do, then happily say ‘ta da’, as you achieve another thing on the list 😉
9. Pamper Yourself
There are so many wonderful therapies available which address the mind body and spirit including Shiatsu, Reiki, Reflexology, Aromatherapy Massages and float tanks. If you can do this weekly, I highly recommend it, but at least monthly.
Simply having the appointment in your calendar will feel sooo good. Make sure to take some time out for YOU afterwards as you’ll be in a super high state of consciousness. Journal, write or just BE and enjoy nature. Find a good, registered practitioner through recommendation or word of mouth.
8. Meditate & Breathe Deeply
If you think you haven’t got time to meditate, simply …. Breathe! It’s as simple as that!
There’s so many benefits to meditation, but if you are a buzzy bee, then let me tell you that ‘time management’ has got nothing to do with the solution, time doesn’t exist so how can you manage it? What needs to be managed is YOU, and your energy. After meditation, and connecting with your soul and higher self, this is sooo much easier.
Just take a moment and focus on your breath from time to time.
“If you can’t afford to meditate for 20’ a day, then do it for 40”
Said the Zen Buddhist monk to the buzzy student
Taking 40 deep breaths a day is a wonderful way to slow things down, gain clarity, and give the mind a rest.
This allows inspiration to pop into your head. Have you ever experienced that magic, when you’ve been ‘trying’ to work something out, or remember something, or wait for a creative idea to manifest, as soon as you stop trying it happens! Even for the buzziest person you can take those breaths while on the train, the loo, or in a meeting.
Another great breathing exercise is to take a couple of 7/11 breaths, or 4/5. Breathe in for the count of 7 (or 4), hold for a few seconds, then breathe out for the count of 11 (or 5). Do this a few times, and notice how differently you are experiencing the world.
You see it’s impossible to think and breathe deeply at the same time… so you’re allowing divine inspiration and ‘aha’ moments to arise in between the thoughts.
Breathing deeply slows down the heart, which in turn slows down the mind.
It’s great for digestion too, as the deep breathing actually massages your digestive organs.

First thing when I wake up is to think of the love, the people and “things” I have to be grateful for.
I pray for them all.
I DECIDE to be happy.
I don’t even get up unless I have a smile on my face.
I laugh a lot – especially when things aren’t necessarily going my way, because they are illusions that wont last longer than one breath unless I LET it.
When we learn to love ourselves, first, everything changes. Because we love ourselves, we decide to be happy every morning when we wake up, because it just seems like the best choice for remaining positive all day.
It makes us glow and people will remark about it often.
Everyone wants to know why I’m so happy all the time and I say, “Because I want to be.” Is there a better reason?
You see, it all has to do with Divine Intent.
If I have divine intent, then ALL my relationships are divine. They are truth based. I bring happiness with me, it is not a burden I place on the shoulders of loved ones.
You are not responsible for my happiness – I am.
It IS a discipline, something to practice every day until it becomes normal habit.
Unless you are a fortunate one born with the “happy gene”.

7. Create A Morning Ritual
I highly recommend a three part morning ritual which totally changed my life and moved me from a place of total despair, to really taking my life by the wotsits and creating a beautiful, successful, dream come true life.….
It goes like this… If you possibly can, get up when you wake up, if it’s humanly possible, this may take working up to, but the main three points are as follows:
i. Drink half a litre of water on waking.
Your body is dehydrated, so this is a great way to start the day.
ii. Exercise for 30 mins, anything that increases your heart rate.
I usually take the dog for a walk, and do a few mins of yoga afterwards, followed by meditation or ‘tuning in’ (feel free to ask if you’d like more info on this). Regular exercise shifts our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual bodies so that we are operating more to our highest potential AND it gives you the sense that there’s more hours in the day! It seems counter intuitive that we’d have more energy if we exercised in the morning, but it is a fact.
iii. Have a healthy, nourishing breakfast.
I favour a smoothie with lots of magic ingredients, in season fruit, along with a selection of cacao, spirulina, maca, hemp seeds (ground up) and whatever else takes my fancy. Sometimes I add ‘Tree of Life’ (also known as moringa), echinacea, and whatever else takes my fancy. I follow my intuition as to what my body needs, and it’s a great way to start the day creating a divine beverage.
If you can do these three things every morning, then your life WILL change.
It takes 30 days to make a habit, permanent, after day two you will probably experience resistance/excuses as to why you can’t do it, but I promise, if you stick to it, you WILL be clearly on the path to creating the life you love. I usually allow myself one day off a week and I actually really feel the difference on that day, but it also feels good to have a lie in for a change.
6. Go To Bed When You’re Tired
Insomnia and sleeping disorders are often caused because the body is pushed BEYOND the point of being tired, so adrenaline kicks in and an unnatural surge of energy drives the body so that when bedtime comes, it’s impossible to sleep.
When you’re tired, go to bed, and avoid screens (tv, computer, phone) for 1-2 hours beforehand if you can. On average we sleep much, much longer than necessary. I think it’s good to sleep when you need to, and I really encourage napping, but it’s a fallacy that we need 8 hours sleep a night. According to many surveys that the Sleep Institute in California have run, apparently we live longer AND we’re healthier when we sleep for 6-7 hours. Geniuses generally slept for 3-4 hours, so if you are waking up at ungodly, or goddessly hours, use the time, be creative! Many are downloading new light, information and codes as we shift dimensionally and vibrationally, so sleep patterns are changing – just be gentle with yourself. If you’re exercising, and sleeping enough you’re pretty much onto a winner!
5. Eat Slowly
Focus on good masturcation. If you suffer from bad digestion, IBS or any digestive disorders, then consider a new way of dining.
Throw away the computers, magazines and television while you eat…. okay not literally, but really, switch them off, put the book or newspaper or even radio away.
Sit down at a table, RELAX, eat slowly, chewing every bite, and consciously LOVING the food.
Then when you’ve finished, and this is v v v important, remember to relax for at least a few minutes as your body is still digesting.
This gives your body the chance to get the goodness from your food.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine terms, the spleen has the job of digesting the food. Its other job is concentrating, thinking and focussing. So, if you’re busy reading, watching tv etc. then your spleen is overworked as it’s trying to do two jobs at once (ie. thinking/focussing and digesting… both separating good from not good).
When I worked as a Practitioner in the NHS and Harley Street, I had a lot of stressed clients with digestive disorders. Once they were aware of this, and changed their dining habits, their symptoms disappeared AND they enjoyed their mealtimes more too!
You could also light a candle, and add a bit of romance to your dining experience… even if it’s just you!
4. Drink Water
Drink between 1.5 and 2 litres of water per day.
Dehydration is actually the most common cause of headaches, lethargy and tiredness.
Often when you THINK you’re hungry, you’re actually thirsty. Keep a bottle on your desk, and drink, drink, drink!
3. Become AWARE
Awareness is a very rare state, usually it’s only gained when we have a shock or a NDE (near death experience). When we experience ‘Awareness’, through an accident, or a shock, we have the realisation that life is really too short, and immediately we want to call those we love and let them know how much we value them. It also allows us to get clear on what’s important in our life. It is a beautiful state where we can stop and assess our lives, and get clear on what’s important.
It is a state that we can choose, sometimes after meditation or a pampering treatment, we might be in a higher state of consciousness which allows for awareness.
If I’m ever feeling stressed or rushed, I sit down and breathe. Then I write down what it is exactly that would make me happy and what I’m grateful for. It’s a miraculously powerful consciousness changer.
2. Choose ‘Being Healthy’ As Your Main Focus
Your soul, your intuition knows what to do to be healthy. When your focus is on avoiding illness, or being fat, or whatever, your focus is STILL on what you don’t want to create.
Rather than focussing on … “I want to avoid being ill”, or “I won’t eat (… Fill in the blank…) because it causes (… Fill in the blank…), instead, focus on what you WOULD love. LOVE the food you eat, even if you’re tempted to have a McDonalds – have it without guilt.
The job of the subconscious is to simply create where our focus is, consciously, or subconsciously. Focus on the higher.
Many people who have had NDEs got clarity on this, how they spent their entire lives living in FEAR – avoiding things! Anita Moorjani, in her book ‘Dying To Be Me’ saw that all her life her focus was on AVOIDING illness, yet she got ill. So everything she did was fear-motivated, causing unhappiness, illness and a miserable life.
1. Be Realistic! Dream BIG….
Stay busy, but set goals. If you’re not in a job you love, then do something about it. Find a mentor or someone to guide you to discovering your strengths, talents and gifts.
Why not challenge yourself but make sure you have plenty of time so you feel in control of the situation. This is how games feel. Games are fun! Especially ones based on imagination and fun!
