Rebirth, Renewal, Acclimatising To The New
What has Rebirth, Renewal and Acclimatising to the New got to do with Easter?
Well, for me, Easter is the real bridge between wintry evenings, and more fun, lighter, warmer, productive days. In the Christian tradition, there is a mourning of the death of Christ on Good Friday, followed by celebration for his resurrection on Easter Sunday.
Easter was originally a time to celebrate Ishtar, the Goddess of fertility and sex believe it or not! The symbols we are all familiar with are bunnies and eggs, and of course the wonderful chocolate, so it kinda fits eh?
As we are all holding and illuminating the Christ Consciousness within, I like to consider the rebirth of Christ as a time to honour our path and our light. It’s a great time to consider what we’d like to let go of, and then allow space for a rebirth into the new. At the bottom of this post I share a wonderful ‘Rebirth’ exercise to do which guides you into YOUR new.
In winter we go into the void, nights get longer, darker, colder and it is a time of hibernation and soul searching. Our energy goes inward, as we dream about the things we’d love to create, then as the energy increases with more sunlight, we can bring those things to the world. The beauty of cycles and seasons.
We are currently in a very powerful window of time astrologically. We know we’re made of stardust which even scientists agree with, so it’s good to be aware of what’s happening skyward.
We’ve just had a pink, full moon eclipse, and we’re about to head into a Cardinal Cross (23rd April), with more eclipses a coming. We’ve got four eclipses this year, and four next year. This is a rare occurrence; it’s actually 100 years since we’ve had four in a year, and after next year, it will be 100 more years! Eclipses are also a restart time…. they support the intention to detox your life, looking at what you can let go of and how you can step up and serve your higher self and the highest good of the planet.
The key to this time is… AWARENESS…. become conscious of everything, slow life down with the aid of some juicy, deep breaths.
Astrologers everywhere are saying that April will be intense, intense, intense. So slow down, breathe, be good to you, and do what makes you feel amazing …. and grounded. Pamper yourself, spend time in nature, most of all be gentle with yourself – especially if you’re feeling fragile, vulnerable, or in any way below par.
Something which I ADORE is watching shooting stars, and of course being silly AND real while wishing on every single one I see.
If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, we are in a window of time – between 16 – 25 April, (peaking 22/23rd) to see the Lyrids Meteor Shower, which is is an annual occurrence and is considered to be the oldest meteor shower. Another meteor shower usually appears in August, you’ll have to check details of that yourself. Watch out just after nightfall and before dawn for the best viewing opportunities. I always find, just lying down, and holding a relaxed gaze and peripheral vision works best.
Happy Wishing upon many stars!
Death Rebirth Celebration Process
I’d like to share a very powerful shamanic process which I’ve been doing for years, to assist my transition into the new.
This is one of my favourite things to do at Easter… If you haven’t worked with me and been trained in using your intuition, then you can simply do as follows:
1. What is it true for me to let go of?
2. What is it true for me to create?
3. What is the bridge….the next step… or the action to take to create that?
4. And why not… Celebrate – step into the feeling of having created what you love, and feel, live, and BE that vibration.
Simply breathe deeply, and allow the answers to come from a deeper place than the mind.
If you ARE trained in your intuition, use the “Golden Circle” process to gift you with a symbol for each question, and then interpret it in favour of the question. What’s interesting is that, what we logically ‘think’ is true to let go of, or create are never the same as the answers from the intuition.
I love to do question one on Good Friday, and then hang with the tension until Sunday, for questions 2 & 3; it’s beautiful to just sit with it and see what emerges.
I wish you a very blissful, restful, fun Easter.
