Elizabeth Gilbert – Gospel!

I just read a post on Facebook by the wonderful Elizabeth Gilbert, author of ‘Eat Pray Love’ which was also a film starring Julia Roberts, and most recently the fabulous ‘Big Magic’.

Her post was a call to women to simply love themselves – ALL of themselves.  This is totally my philosophy, and what I work with in sessions with clients – when you love whatever arises, you see the treasure in the tough times, and alchemise them into the next steps on your path to creating everything you love.

Having just spent some time totally confined to bed with the yukky ‘shingles’ – I’m slowly recovering as I integrate all the learnings and gifts I’ve received while ill.  I did A LOT of soul searching over the last few weeks and among the realisations was this gem.  It’s nothing new to me… but I got it, on a deeper, more profound, juicy level.  I am celebrating!

You must love yourself… is this a cliche now?

How do we love ourselves?

Well, here’s Elizabeth Gilbert’s post.  She poses a lot of questions, with a lot of gemstone answers!

I hope you enjoy it.

“Dear Ones

I’m worried about something. I’m worried about how much we hate ourselves.

When I say “we”, I mean modern people in the developed Western world, primarily. And among that population, it is the women who hate themselves most of all — who harm themselves, sabotage themselves, bully themselves, undermine themselves, and speak to themselves in voices of unthinkable cruelty.

Increasingly, I believe that the vast majority of our suffering is a result of this epidemic. And I am CERTAIN that everything you want for your life — everything you want to feel and believe and become — is on the other side of that dark river of self-hatred and self-abuse.

We have to stop this.

I won’t be talking today about the causes of our self-hatred. I don’t want to drift into the easy blame of “the media’s images of women”, or “the patriarchy”, or “the internet” or “the emotional disconnect of the post-industrial world” or even “our fucked up families.” Because you know what? I DON’T KNOW. I’m not smart enough to know what this is all about, or where the self-hatred comes from. I just know that it’s prevalent, it’s contagious, it’s really dangerous, and that we are destroying ourselves with it.

Sharon Salzberg, the great American meditation master, tells a story about meeting the Dalai Lama in 1990. She asked him what he thought about self-hatred, and he replied, “Self-hatred? What is that?”

Seriously. He didn’t know what she was talking about. He kept probing: How could people be taught to hate THEMSELVES?

The room was filled with Western meditators, scientists, pyschologists, and researchers, and over the next hours they tried to explain it to the Dalai Lama — tried to answer his puzzled question of how a person could be taught to hate themself. But he remained puzzled. He said, at the end of it all, “I thought I had a good acquaintance with the mind, but now I feel quite ignorant. I find this very, very strange.”

And heartbreaking.

Unlike the Dalai Lama, I know self-hatred inside and out, you guys. I know self-blame, shame, self-recrimination, and I have certainly experienced rage against my own machine. I know what it feels like to look at every molecule of your being (physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual) and declare: NOT GOOD ENOUGH, KID. And I know that this way lies madness. Madness and pain, and the death of all good things.

I also know this — that the answer is not to become A BETTER PERSON. The answer is not to IMPROVE. The answer is not TO GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. And this is coming from somebody who loves improving, who loves striving, and who is always trying to get her shit together. Look, trying to improve yourself is FINE, if that’s what you’re into. Exercise more, eat better, become more productive, de-clutter your house — whatever. Getting your shit together is very nice. Do all that stuff, if you want to. (I certainly do all that stuff, and I don’t judge it.) But understand this — PEACE WILL NOT BE FOUND THERE. Your house can be so tidy that you could invite Marie Kondo over for dinner with pride, and maybe someday you can achieve rock-hard abs, and maybe someday you could get out debt, and land your dream job, finally stop drinking….and you might STILL hate yourself.

Because the darkness of self-hatred is immune to any worldly accomplishment or success. Achievement does not touch the part of yourself who abuses yourself. The world is filled with highly successful and accomplished people who treat themselves horribly, who talk to themselves savagely, and who abuse themselves terribly. If you could see inside their heads and witness the dreadful conversations going on in there, you would be shocked. You would be shocked, and maybe you would cry. And maybe you would want to take that highly successful and deeply troubled person in your arms and say, “There, there, little small one…there, there…hush, hush…”

Peace will only be found when you can love all the parts of yourself that you have always hated.

I used to think that self-love would only come to me when I had “cleaned up my act” — only when I had gotten rid of all my bad behaviors, only when I had mastered my mind, only when I had driven out all the negative thoughts, only when I had forgiven everyone for everything, only when I had made amends for every mess I had ever caused, only when I could see divinity in everybody, only when I never lost my temper, only when I no longer experienced “bad” emotions like anger, jealousy, resentment, self-pity. In other words, I could not love myself until I had become WORTHY.

Which means…what? Which means: I believed that I could not love myself until I was some kind of polished golden orb of perfection, with an immaculately-controlled mind, a healthy body, and a totally clean record. Someone who would never make another misstep, never speak another unkind word, never be a fuck-up again in any way whatsoever…ever. Then I could love myself.

But who is that? Who is that person I have just described?

That person is nobody. That person is no human being who has ever lived.

And once you realize that, then you realize that we are all this same boat together. That everything you hate about yourself is nothing less than your HUMANITY. Your shared humanity. That you and I, and your neighbor Bob, and your awful sister-in-law, and all those shiny people on Instagram…that we all share the same human dilemma — that we all don’t totally know how to BE, and what to do with ourselves. We all have these strange minds full of incomprehensible thoughts. We all have these untrustworthy hearts that often want forbidden things. We all have these funny ape-like bodies with weird urges. We all have these enormous souls filled with a desperate longing for belonging.

You are no different from me, and I am no different from your neighbor Bob, and your neighbor Bob is no different from your awful sister-in-law, and your awful sister-in-law is no different from all those shiny people on Instagram. There is a massive sense of tenderness that comes over me when I remember that we are all the same in our shared dilemma of how to be a person. We are all in this together. We are a bizarre but beautiful species. And if you believe that human beings need love, and deserve love…then you must someday grow into the belief that YOU also need love and deserve love, and that you must stop being so stingy about giving it to yourself.

You must not think that love is something you give to yourself as a reward, only if you have earned it — like some kind of gold star sticker that you get to put on your homework today if you are good…but maybe not tomorrow, if you fuck up.

No.

You have to give yourself love all the time.

Giving yourself love doesn’t mean that every day is spa day. (Although, hey. If you can swing it…) Giving yourself love doesn’t mean buying yourself fancy presents, or constantly treating yourself, or spoiling yourself. (You are not SEDUCING yourself, remember. You are not trying to get yourself in bed. You are just being kind and loving to yourself.) Giving yourself love doesn’t mean becoming Kanye-like in your insistence that you are the greatest.

You are not the greatest. But you are also not the WORST. And I bet there have been days of your life (maybe years of your life) where all you do is walk around telling yourself that you are the WORST. And I bet that nothing good has ever come out of that way of thinking.

You are not the greatest, and you are not the worst. You are just one of us.

Give the extreme LOVE experiment a go...

Give the extreme LOVE experiment a go…

I have tried a radical experiment recently. I call it: THE EXTREME LOVE EXPERIMENT.

Whenever I have a dark thought — a “forbidden” thought, like anger, jealousy, resentment, lust, shame, contempt — I immediately say to myself, “I love the part of you, Liz, who is full of anger right now.”

or: “I love the part of you who is ashamed of yourself right now.”

or: “I love the part of you who can’t stop judging yourself right now.”

or: “I love the part of you who feels weak and helpless right now.”

or: ‘I love the part of you who just had an explicitly violent fantasy about watching that person who is talking loudly on her cellphone suddenly have her head blow up.”

or: “I love the part of you who is still having an argument in your head with a man you haven’t talked to in 15 years.”

or: “I love the part of you who broke your New Year’s resolution on January 4th.”

or: “I love the part of you who believes that she is such a spiritual hypocrite, it’s ridiculous.”

or: “I love the vain/insecure part of you who stands in front of the mirror lifting up the dangly flesh on your neck and wondering if there’s some kind of plastic surgery for that.”

or: “I love the part of you who is jealous of that other novelist for winning that big award.”

I used to try to banish all those parts of myself. Because they were BAD. They were WRONG. They were UNEVOLVED. They were NEGATIVE.

But banishing the parts of myself that I hated has never worked. The more I try to banish them, the stronger they grow. The more I hated these parts of myself, the more they multiplied. It’s like my self-hatred was fertilizer — creating a dark, warm, nourishing environment for all those “bad” thoughts and impulses to grow…and as they grew, they destroyed me.

Now I just say to the dark thought, “I love this part of you”…and the dark thought loses its power.

I understand now that I am not a SELF. I am SELVES. I am thousands of different selves — and all of them are worthy of love.

To say, “I love you,” is the only force strong enough to diffuse darkness.

And here’s the crazy thing — this habit is starting to spread out of me, and I can now do it toward others.

For instance, I now have the capacity to think: “I love the part of my husband who is constantly interrupting me. This is just his weird humanity at play.”

Followed by: “And I love the part of me who gets so freaking irritated about how my husband is constantly interrupting me.”

Followed by: “I love the part of me who doesn’t really BELIEVE that I love the part of my husband who is constantly interrupting me.”

Followed by: “I love the part of me who is saying that this EXTREME LOVE EXPERIMENT is total bullshit, and it will never work.”

Followed by: “I love the part of me who wonders if I will ever truly love myself.”

And it goes on like that. But I go on, too. I just keep throwing love at everything that comes up…until finally it all gently quiets down.

And it does all finally gently quiet down.

I love all these dark parts of myself not because they are wonderful and adorable and perfect and fantastic, but because they are THERE. My dark bits are with me and they will likely always be with me. Just as your dark parts are with you and will likely always be with you. All that is there needs to be loved.

That’s OK.

As they say: “It’s not a bug; it’s a FEATURE.”

Our humanity is not an ERROR. Our crazy thoughts are not MISTAKES. Our scary longings and giant failures and ongoing disasters are not ABERRATIONS.

This is merely what it is to be a person — messy, weird, inconsistent, doubtful. This is how we ARE, and that has to be OK, or else nobody is OK.

We are not some early Dell Computer Operating System, here to be de-bugged. We are not some new product for sale, here to be perfected. The goal is not to become an immaculate golden orb. The goal is to return to a place of kindness, where you can be gentle with yourself and others, no matter what arises. This requires, I think, a friendly sort of loving humor about who you are and who we all are. Why does the Dalai Lama have such a twinkle about him? Because he gets it. He gets that it’s kind of funny, how we are. Even when it’s terrible. The whole thing is…very, very strange. And that’s OK. It’s strange, but it’s sacred.

And I believe there no is gentler or safer place to stand on this earth than in a place where you can say to yourself, “I love every bit of you, you beautiful freak.”

The Buddha said it better, of course. The Buddha said, “You can search the whole world over and never find anyone as deserving of love as yourself.”

In other words: Be good to you, OK?

Please put down the knife you have been holding to your own throat. You don’t deserve that kind of abuse, and it won’t help.

Just try it. Try saying to your scariest bits: “I love this part of you.”

And then say it again to the next part…and the next part…and the next part…and the next part…and ONWARD.

Good luck in there.

The 13 Spiritual Benefits of Chocolate – Cacao Ceremony Time!

The 13 Spiritual Benefits of Chocolate – Cacao Ceremony Time! (haga clic aquí para español).

Do you know that chocolate is actually medicine?

How cool is that?

It is one of the most powerful, gentle facilitators, teachers and guides on the planet – and it is delicious too!

The Ancient Mayans and Aztecs used Chocolate for Spiritual and Ceremonial purposes. In its purest form (unlike much of the chocolate available in the mainstream), it is a powerful assistant for ‘inner work’, creative guidance and so much more.

Read on to discover how this delicious superfood can help you!

The 13 Spiritual Benefits of Chocolate – Cacao Ceremony Time – And Connecting with ‘The Spirit of Cacao’…

13. HEART OPENER

Chocolate opens the heart and allows for a deeper, authentic love based connection with yourself, others, the world and all of life.

12. SHAMANIC JOURNEYING

It promotes powerful journeying and connection with your spiritual wisdom.

11. THERAPY – SOVEREIGN (RATHER THAN CODEPENDENT)

Helps to bring awareness to anything that has been preventing you from creating the life you love.

It aids in the recognition, and release of repetitive patterns

You will become aware of any beliefs and blocks which could prevent you from creating the life you love.

10. CONNECTION WITH HIGHER SELF

Stronger connection with the higher self (intuition, soul, God, Goddess etc.).

This leads to an enhanced connection with your own power and truth; your divinity.

Chocolate is a powerful facilitator allowing you to delve into your pain.

“You gotta feel it to heal it.”

Once you FEEL your pain (sadness, anger, grief etc. etc.), you won’t keep manifesting situations to feel these feelings.

You will live a freer, happier life, without constantly being triggered.

When you release these emotions, it allows more light, love and magic into your life.

This is ‘Heaven on Earth’.

9. EFFECTIVE MEDITATION

Powerful, otherworldly and deep meditation, enabling you to connect with your spiritual nature, accessing the wisdom within.

Meditation is much easier and more beneficial; silencing the mind becomes easy – hence the space for healing occurs.

‘The healing occurs in the stillness.’

It calms the left brain chatter, and allows us to delve more into that ‘no mind’ space of bliss.

8. ‘GET’ ANY LEARNINGS IN YOUR ENTIRE BEING… NOT JUST YOUR HEAD

Profound embodiment of new learnings. This allows you to feel in your body what you know in your head. The teachings you might already be aware of are ‘understood‘, you suddenly ‘get‘ them on a deeper level.

For instance, the teaching that we are all love, and love is all there is.

You might logically know this, and want to believe it and live it, but you wonder HOW to embody it?

Is it true?

Chocolate aids the pathway to living and FEELING this love, this bliss, the state of being which IS FLOW, ONENESS and LOVE…..

7. A JOURNEY TO ONENESS LOVE ENLIGHTENMENT

Feelings of oneness, enlightenment and ecstasy.

This results in more love in your life, leading to more effective manifestation and a more powerful, familiar connection with your magnificence and spiritual capacities.

When you access this state; bliss, love, the vortex, the ‘zone’, flow, whatever you want to call it, you can manifest what you love.

You also enter into the state where what you love, comes to you!

Your lover, clients, abundance, vibrant health – you name it.

6. MALE FEMALE ENERGY BALANCE WITHIN

More enhanced, balanced, connected male & female energy.

Male and female energies are within everyone.

When these energies are in balance, you live a harmonious life magnetising all you love TO you.

This integration also leads to enhanced effectiveness as the divine creator and super manifesting machine that you are, in essence.

The balance of male and female energies allows you to receive inspiration (feminine energy) AND act on it (masculine energy).

Chocolate is the ONLY food which

Connects your left brain & your right brain!!!

5. ENHANCED CREATIVITY

Access to the ‘one mind’ or unity consciousness allowing the connection with creative ideas.

You enter a zone where you are receiving ‘aha’ moments, inspiration, ideas. With the enhanced male/female balance, these are made manifest….

4. IMPROVED YOGA, CHI KUNG AND SIMILAR PRACTICES

More effective, deeper, profound, easier yoga and chi kung practice.

Your practice improves on every level; physical, mental, spiritual, emotional.

This is probably the case with other practices too (aikido, kick boxing etc.) but I have yet to try other – so let me know!

3. CONNECTION TO HIGHER DIMENSIONS

A deeper, stronger connection with ‘the light’, the new, higher dimensions, raising your vibration.

2. CAREER GUIDANCE – CROSSROADS CLARITY

More clarity, ideas and connection with your life purpose.

Clarity on your talents, skills and how you are here to serve – you easily connect with your creative abilities; writing, painting, dancing, music or whatever floats your boat really.

Flow is the one thing that those who are successful in business experience. Whether ‘spiritual’ or not. From this state creation, and abundance…. FLOWS!

1. FUN – The Reason We Are Here!

Chocolate is a gentle, powerful feminine force. It is the force for the new world. In fact ‘power’ is a better word than ‘force’.

By surrendering to the essence and energy of Chocolate, you can step into the higher dimensions. It facilitates a deep Shamanic experience of ‘being in the world but not of it’ or ‘having a foot in both worlds’.

You become the Ascended Master on earth… bringing Heaven TO Earth. It shows you how you can shift your perception so life can be fun.

That is what we are here for, to have fun!

This was the learning I got when I lived in Hawaii and I swam with the wild dolphins almost every day. They kept telling me (telepathically), FUN FUN FUN. However, it took me about 5 years to master the teaching… in fact I’m still getting my head around it.

We’re here to have fun, if it’s not fun, don’t do it, or MAKE IT FUN!

Is Chocolate A Drug?

Well, if you think that tobacco, coffee and alcohol are drugs, then I guess so.

Chocolate wasn’t popular as a psychoactive in the 60’s because it’s not actually psychedelic (although many experience visions and powerful journeys in my ceremonies).

It is is gaining a lot of popularity now, because of all the shifts on the planet and people recognise its power.

We have come to a tipping point. As chocolate connects you with your heart, it also connects you with something bigger…. God, the Universe, Spirit, your higher self… whatever you want to call it.

It’s the magical space you enter when you appreciate a phenomenal sunset… before the mind chips in and goes;

‘Oooheee – look, she’s having one of ‘those’ experiences!’ Lol..

Do you know what I mean?

Anyway, I digress, I discovered this magic a few years ago on a trip round the world and it totally changed my life. Below, I share my journey and 13 Spiritual benefits of using chocolate for ceremonial and spiritual purposes.

Most of the chocolate available in the marketplace is full of sugar and additives. The beans are often hybridised, or low quality, so it doesn’t have a powerful effect. The chocolate that I work with facilitates a deeper journey, and intense feelings of BLISS.

Postscript…

Messages From The Dolphins (the most intelligent of mammals).

The messages that the dolphins deliver, and the basis of Hawaiian Shamanism… It’s all about FUN, LOVE, BREATHING (consciously) and CONNECTION 🙂  I spent many months swimming with wild dolphins in Hawaii, they communicated with me daily, and eventually we had a very sovereign relationship (once I stopped depending on them for healing lol). They continually reminded me:

BREATHE … HAVE FUN … LOVE … CONNECT … FLOW!

The importance of these messages has been communicated to me recently in my own work and through witnessing what others gain in ceremonies and one to one sessions. It facilitates the clearing of deep psychological, emotional, and spiritual blocks. It allows one to get to the root of any emotion or even any physical ailment, to discover why they have it and in turn feeling the emotion related to it; subsequently healing the original dis-ease and releasing it.

Why 13?

The number thirteen is a powerful number; the number of the Goddess. During the patriarchy, we were led to believe that 13 is unlucky as it is the number attributed to the power – the gentle power of the feminine.

When the patriarchy came to the fore, it was ruled as ‘unlucky’ because they wanted us to fear the power of the Goddess and women in general. It represents the new world of love and peace which is being created right now.

Back Story – How I discovered the magical, spiritual, medicinal qualities of chocolate!

I arrived in Guatemala at 11.11 on 11/11/12 feeling VERY curious, and a little afraid.

It was very synchronistic that I landed at those times, the flight was delayed and as I flew in, I was greeted not only by these (very significant) numbers but also by 4/5 bolts of lightning – at eye level!

This was a sure sign that this was probably not going to be an ordinary adventure!!

The numbers have many meanings (click here to check them out).

My visit was also timed with the important dates which would occur the month after (12/12/12 and 21/12/12), the dates famed as being the end of the Mayan calendar, time as we know it, and a 26,00 year cycle. This was much celebrated and talked about worldwide, with some even thinking the world would end on 21 December 2012!  What resonated for me, was that it would be the end of the world … as we know it, and the beginning of a new one. The world of LOVE…

After arriving in Guatemala and spending some time in Antigua, a really beautiful city, and World Heritage centre, intuition, and a very dear friend guided me to buy a ticket to Lake Atitlan. I did so, and travelled the very next day. I arrived in San Marcos, a haven of healing portals in the Highlands of Guatemala. I still felt the fear. I had no idea why I was there and as I acknowledged my fear, and total submersion into the unknown, it was soon transmuted after I asked my favourite question; ‘What would I love?’  I actually can’t remember my answer, but I have a few ideas. Anyway, soon after (minutes), I met a wonderful lady who told me about ‘The Chocolate Shaman’ and his ceremonies. That was day one in San Marcos, day two I attended my first ceremony!

I had no idea about the magical properties of chocolate and that the Ancient Mayans and Aztecs used it for Spiritual and Ceremonial purposes. People from all over the world gathered in circle, to drink cacao, and drop from their head to their heart. They experienced healing, while having fun and journeyed deep within to a place where all their answers lay.

The Chocolate Shaman initially connected with the Spirit of Cacao nearly 10 years ago. She told him that Cacao would be ‘The Food for the Shift’. This started his journey of discovery, and ended up with him using Chocolate in its purest form as a medicine, to open others hearts, and return people to their innate power & magnificence.

I spent some months going to Ceremonies and learning about chocolate and surrendering to the ‘stuff” that I needed to let go of. It was totally life-transforming for me, and the path that I ‘thought’ I was going to take from then on, totally changed. I chose to add Sacred Chocolate to my Shaman’s Toolbag and hold ceremonies – well actually it was all totally intuitively guided. I invited a friend to come to my first one – and I loved it. From then on, people asked me to hold them, they got the people to come, they got the venues, all I needed to do was turn up! Now THAT is flow!

The Spirit of Cacao spoke to me – gently, yet powerfully and showed me this was my true path. In fact when I did a Shamanic Journey before I went to Guatemala, I had a vision of myself running what seemed to be Ayahuasca ceremonies – and I was a little surprised. As much as I respect Aya, and I have attended ceremonies it did not resonate as my path. Of course, it wasn’t long before I realised the similarities in a Cacao Ceremony and an Ayahuasca Ceremony. You sit in circle, drink an elixir and have a powerful, (fun with Chocolate), profound experience. The difference being that chocolate will show you the door, it will not push you through. Intention is the key …

I was honoured to have been invited by The Spirit of Cacao to share her magic – her gentle, yet powerful guiding ways all over the planet. Since then, I have continued to build a strong connection with The Spirit of Cacao as the powerful teacher, facilitator and guide that she is.

“Chocolate; The Food For The Shift!”

My experiences since then confirm that Chocolate truly IS the food for the shift.

I have seen so many transformations, and people discovering their purpose, joy, confidence and walking the path their soul called them to take. In my ceremonies I use my Healing, Intuitive Coaching & Shamanic tools from a 16 year professional adventure into the unknown, raising the mists of my own beliefs and assumptions and becoming more of who I was born to be. I’ve been creating more and more of the life I love. Through that, I’ve been guiding others so that they not only create a life THEY love, but also go on to teach others to do so too. Sharing the magical secrets of alchemy and the elixirs of life worldwide!

“We must be the change we wish to see.”

Mahatma Gandhi

The use of Chocolate has taken my work and the results in others lives to another level. It creates a beautiful cauldron of love, allowing what needs to be released to transmute – thus allowing more room for extra doses of light, love and magic.

During Chocolate Ceremonies, people connect with deep feelings of bliss, love and joy – their FLOW!

They sometimes journey through a variety of emotions which are stuck – these may have caused illness, repetitive patterns, conflict, confusion, lack of abundance, love and basic lack of joy and fulfilment in their lives. They gain deep realisations about their purpose, the meaning of life and the direction their soul is calling them to take.

There’s often wondrous ‘aha’ moments on why certain things have been a perceived ‘problem’ and how, in fact, now they can see that it’s their greatest gift. With this knowledge, the journey forward is more empowered without the old ‘story’ but with a renewed awareness of the gifts they’ve been granted, even through the story! This fresh start empowers them to step into their power in a way they’ve never before experienced (often with them using Chocolate in their work).

The planet is changing, WE are changing and there’s a need for a great number of teachers to become guides for the rest of the planet. There are a lot of pain bodies to be soothed and transmuted, and I’m working with the next wave of teachers. As Eckhart Tolle said, dealing with the pain body is one of the most important, and much needed jobs of the current years.

Chocolate The Superfood

Apart from the fact that Chocolate is a magical medicine, it also has a lot of positive health benefits. It is a superfood, it’s delicious and it’s also an aphrodisiac!

Since my discovery about the magical uses for Chocolate I journeyed to Hawaii & Canada where I held Ceremony, but I also journeyed to Costa Rica and I met tribes who still use Chocolate for these purposes. They also use it for initiations for new born babies, teenagers and pregnant women.

The Spirit of Cacao was one of the most revered of the ancient Mayan Deities. They called Cacao ‘The water that runs through the heart’. Chocolate is a Sacred, Medicinal, Psychoactive, Plant and Theobroma or cacao actually means “Food of the Gods”.

I hope you enjoyed this piece.

Mucho aloha!

The Law of Attraction… And Then What?

[Update… December 27, 2014, see bottom of post for a GREAT YouTube piece Celebrities talk “The Law of Attraction]

As I slowly, gleefully sip a ceremonial does of cacao, with tingles all over my body from a powerful download of wisdom and guidance, I share some magic with you.

Life is good. Life is good, because of the learnings.  Those learnings that continually come from some really, really painful, tough times and clearing my ‘stuff’; i.e my negative emotions and beliefs.

We’re all on an interesting journey as we come into our power and connect with our divinity (blog on what “A Woman in Our Power” is click here).  As we experience tough times, it’s sooo important to keep that in mind – that we are Divine Magnificent Beings, or spiritual beings having a human experience.

Anyway, I digress; I’m writing about the Law of Attraction right?  What’s the LoA got to do with tough times?  Well, when we move through our tough times, we get light infusions (light = wisdom), so as we learn, and grow, we become lighter.  We attract more of what we love.  We do this by simply FEELING the emotions, whatever they might be.  That clears them, leaving us to manifest what we love.

There’s often a lot of fear around actually being real and feeling our stuff; fear, pain, anger and other emotions.

Sunset, Kailua Kona, Hawaii

Sunset, Kailua Kona, Hawaii

The Law of Attraction made big news nearly ten years ago when the movie ‘The Secret’ was launched.  I remember watching it and jumping & dancing around my home celebrating at the message it conveyed.  My partner had been telling me about all this magic for years; how your thoughts and words create your reality.  I must admit, there was a part of me that doubted him, could it really be that simple, and how does it work?  I wondered.

When I watched the film I truly celebrated – I was SO happy it was true and this information was now in the mainstream.

As great as ‘The Secret’ was though, it also brought up a lot of confusion, doubt and fear.  Many people thought that you had to feel amazing all the time.  They thought that if you felt any negative emotions, you would attract negativity.

This is not true.  It’s SO important to bear this in mind as we create the new paradigm.  We MUST feel our feelings to clear them.  Alchemise them.  Otherwise they’re lurking around under the surface in your subconscious creating again, what you don’t love.

Your Magnificence comes from those feelings, as does enlightenment.  There’s no quick route to a blissful life, it’s the journey and it’s through continually allowing yourself to feel your feelings that you get to bliss.  I don’t suggest you wallow in them, just be real and allow yourself to feel them.  Neither do I recommend drowning them with things like alcohol, drugs, smoking and busy-ness, but just start being conscious of them, allow.

As Joseph Campbell says;

‘Pain is inherent,

Suffering is optional.’

There’s SUCH peace underneath those feelings if you simply allow yourself to sit with them, and I can’t speak highly enough of the Attitude of Gratitude….

564293_414801685244685_97187677_n

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.

It turns what we have into enough, and more.

It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.

It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today,

And creates a vision for tomorrow.”  Melody Beattie

If you look at my blog Beliefs & The Power of The Subconscious Mind you’ll see that it’s the subconscious that creates our reality.  So if our negative emotions are tucked away there, if we’re ignoring them, or we’re afraid to simply FEEL them, we create more situations where we HAVE to feel them.  For instance the same relationship patterns with partners, bosses, etc. etc.  That’s why those that push our buttons are our best teachers.

As one of my Shamanic teacher used to say; ‘There’s nothing to fear, but fear itself’.  When we fear something, we’re giving our power away, we give power to whatever we fear… therefore that’s what we manifest (see below for many celebrities’ view on this.)  When we shift the fear, we have all that power we’ve been channelling (subconsciously) into the fear, we take the hand of fear, and walk with it… shifting the power towards what we love, walking the path our soul is calling us to take… in love.

We’re all Masters of the Law of Attraction, because we’re constantly creating.

Are you creating what you love OR what you don’t love?  Look at your life now for instant feedback.  It’s a reflection of your past thoughts.  We’re all manifesting things we DON’T want as well as those we DO want.

When you clear your negative emotions, you have room for the juicy high vibrations to create what you DO love.

It takes high pressure and temperature to create a diamond

The Law of Clarity

When you’re clear of the negative emotions (anger, frustration, grief, sadness etc.) that recreate unwanted situations and patterns in your life, you’re a clear vessel.  You vibrate with feelings of joy, love, happiness, peace and THEN you create that magic in your life, attracting what you love.

Use gratitude for where you are now and what you have; this is the bridge to even more magical outcomes. Let me know how you get on with The Law of Clarity and please feel free to share this post.

I love you!

The Power of Choice

Dear Beautiful,
Remember your power!

In any moment, in any situation, you have the power of choice.

Not always easy, but it is a simple choice

Not always easy, but it is a simple choice

Choose who you spend time with.

Choose how you feel.

Choose your dreams.

Choose your state of being.

Choose what action to take.

Choose how you interpret anything.

Choose whether, or how you react to someone or a situation.

Choose LOVE!
The more you choose to be in love, the more you are being the change you wish to see in the world.
This DOES mean speaking your truth, and being courageous enough to be real with others.

In fact, it’s all about being real; from the motivation of love, rather than fear.

Good luck & I love you!

Ascension Magic & Patterns

I must share an incredible vision I had this morning as I tuned into my ‘Land of Plenty’.

The Land of Plenty is a place in our consciousness where everything our heart loves has already manifested.  It’s a Native American technique which allows you to leave your ego behind and see with the eyes of innocence everything which is true for you to create in your life.  These things normally lie hidden behind the mists of our thoughts, beliefs and assumptions.  In your Land of Plenty you get clarity on the path your soul is calling you to take and you can choose to consciously create what is true for you, guided by your intuition.

So, I tuned into one of the choices I have around my life purpose; ‘I choose the end result of sharing my Shamanic wisdom and humor every week through my events & writing.’

One of the realizations I had was the perfection of me and my path.  I realised that I already AM the butterfly; I have transformed.  My ego, however has been making me believe that I’m still the caterpillar!  I CAN fly and my DNA has already changed.  I already am the new paradigm Goddess of Love (tongue slightly in cheek as I say that).

“The stronger you become, the gentler you will be.” Credit unknown

I’ve been doing quite a lot of work on myself recently, realizing and clearing old patterns and I’d temporarily fallen into the ‘OMG there’s A LOT wrong with me zone.’  Of course, I still have some clearing to do, but I have gained a wiser, higher perspective of my patterns and why I’ve been feeling pain.

I’ve had a beautiful connection with a man who totally tapped into my biggest wound…  Our pain is created when we are children, and this originated when I was 6 when my dad died, yet the news was hidden from me (bla de bla, there’s a lot more ‘story’ but it’s unnecessary to share it).  Anyway, this has been a great source of pain throughout my life, bringing up trust issues, abandonment, etc.  I buried the pain for most of my life and it only started to come out in my closest relationships years later as I slowly peeled away the layers around my heart for healing.

As I’ve alchemized this pain over the years, it’s also been the source of my greatest treasure.  I wouldn’t have the life purpose I have and which I ADORE if it wasn’t for it.  I wouldn’t have a big juicy, vulnerable, yet strong heart either.  Nor my wisdom, humor and knowledge!

When this ‘wound’ was reactivated, I totally went into blame and anger and all the other stuff.  With the wisdom of hindsight, I realized that it’s pretty much nothing to do with anyone apart from me; in fact he was doing me a service.  I was totally conscious of my ‘wound’ and how it was creating pain with this connection; it goes without saying that those we love WILL push our buttons, they’re the ones we let into our hearts and all our walls and our barriers come down!  What I failed to realize for a while was that my reactions and pain was the same old, same old I’ve been feeling for a  long time when I let someone into my heart.  I realized that I had a choice, to simply feel it intensely and deeply, then to allow myself to step out of it.

These are times of great change and those who ‘push our buttons’ are doing us a great service as they’re showing us what needs healing.  These are agreements we had before this lifetime; it’s such a gift that these people are doing their jobs so well (lol), so that we we move more and more into the dream of light, the lighter, higher vibrations we can leave this stuff behind… at last!

Does this give you a chance to reevaluate some difficult connections you might have?  Perhaps when you dive deep into it or into the feelings that come up, you’ll recognize them from the past?  Are you the common denominator here?  Is it time to let go of this pattern?

I believe that when we feel a ‘negative’ emotion for more than a few seconds it has nothing to do with the current situation, it’s simply tapping into a memory from our childhood which needs healing.

I feel very lucky that this pattern came up again.  Like a caterpillar slooowly coming out of its cocoon I saw the gift as I learned to disassociate from the story and the feelings, heal and change my perspective.

When this happens again I’ll know to step back and simply observe, the red flag being triggered simply won’t require me to react.  Even if I do feel pain, I won’t judge myself for it, but in time, even the pain will disappear, in fact it might have already gone!

I’ve known for a while that whenever I feel pain, or experience conflict, it’s never to do with anyone outside of me… it’s all to do with me.  Even with this knowledge, I was still getting triggered, but now I feel like I have the freedom to step out of the negative loop and simply observe.  This is a powerful place, a place of freedom and a space of knowing that in any one moment I can choose how I feel, react, and ultimately what I create.

This experience has opened my heart so much.  I have a lot of one to one clients at the moment and I’m generally holding an event every week; as soon as I had this breakthrough I was able to serve others and allow them to access their own wisdom in a similar way, often through connecting with their inner child.  I feel like this learning will guide others more and more into their vulnerability; their hearts so that we can co-create a juicy new world of love!

I feel like this new wisdom has made me softer, bigger hearted, lighter and I am eternally grateful!  I have such a love and a respect for men; especially for my father for being the first one to gift me with the seed for this story and for you, who I trust by sharing my it will feel empowered to look at where you might be blaming others for what’s happening in your life.

Take your power back and see how your internal world is creating your external world.  It’s all been perfectly designed for you; so well done, you’re right on course!

You too are the butterfly, and remember the butterfly can never see the beauty of its own wings!

I love you!

Powerlessness

I’ve just had the most incredible realization.

I’ve ‘known’ this for quite a while, but I actually FELT it in my body just now.  I did a ceremonial dose of pure raw Guatemalan cacao earlier because I felt quite stuck and I was feeling a lot of pain as I saw a pattern which I have been repeating in my life.

I realised that I’ve been in a ‘powerless’ position around two very important areas of my life; where I live, which is linked with getting a relevant Visa and my love life!  I even started to entwine the two to create intense drama, pain, chaos and confusion!  I was well aware that there was a thread of ‘powerlessness’ going on in my life, but I wasn’t really aware of the roots and depth of it.

When you believe you’re powerless, you assign the power outside of yourself.  This is something I teach and I’m well aware of.  Being aware of our beliefs is so important because they really do create our reality; but hey, I’m not perfect and I spent some time swimming around in the mire of one of my beliefs.  Other beliefs include being unworthy, not good enough, trust, and so on and so on.

Image

Anyway, I’m really enjoying being in the flow of life, following my spirit and allowing my path to unfold in front of me, while focusing on what I would love to create.

What I realized though, was that underneath this was a simmering anger and not having what I love NOW and having to worry myself with what I perceived as left brain, old world paradigm nonsense like Visas!

What’s so interesting is that due to Visa requirements I travelled to Guatemala a few months ago and created probably the most wonderful magic ever and added something worth its weight in gold to my Shaman’s toolbag – i.e. the use of Cacao.  Since then my work and life purpose has taken on such a power and a life of its own.  I’ve been using Cacao in private sessions, but much more exciting I’ve been holding Cacao Ceremonies & creating a space for others to connect with the higher realms, raising consciousness, bringing more light and love into our life and releasing pain and old hurts.  So, what’s interesting is that even the nonsense rules on this planet and the old world paradigm led me to discovering more of my treasure!

Anyway, with the realization of how much of a powerless position I’ve put myself in, while believing ‘everything will work out okay’ I was putting the power OUTSIDE of me which of course puts pressure on others and puts me OUT of my power.

Now, with that realization I’m back in my power and I’ve decided on where my path is leading me.  Of course, I still believe ‘if you want to make God/Goddess laugh, tell them your plans’ but the fact that I’ve taken my power back and I’m choosing which path to take is such a powerful, real, sexy place to be!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to my spirit and The Spirit of Cacao for allowing that magic to unfold!

Love, light, magic & ….. ☹ drama, chaos, confusion, illness?

Cacao; The Food for the Shift

I learned something I already knew recently.  Do I make sense?  Maybe I should say I remembered.  Anyway, the gist of it involves us moving more and more into the higher dimensions; my take on it is that we are creating heaven on earth.
Before we do this, we need to clear any ‘density’ or our ‘pain body’ as Eckhart Tolle calls it.  If we don’t, we’ll simply create what we don’t want; drama, chaos, illness.  I’m seeing this a lot with creators, artists, coaches, facilitators, healers, lightworkers etc.  You might have experienced how your thoughts are manifesting quicker recently?  You’re manifesting easier – and not all of it is what you want!  If you still have ‘stuff’ to clear, that will manifest.  I’m absolutely not saying we need to be perfect, but there’s a new level of consciousness that needs to be achieved so that we don’t create what we don’t want.

The Food for the Shift

I’ve recently been working with a wonderful shaman in the highlands of Guatemala (http://ceremonialcacao.blogspot.com/) who changed my life!  I learned that ‘clearing’ doesn’t have to be hard work, it can be easy and FUN!  I also learned a beautiful way to allow sensitive souls, highly sensitive people or empaths as he calls them how to be clear and NOT take on other people’s stuff.  This training is powerful and I’ve already been sharing it with very welcome audiences.  As more and more people are moving into the new paradigm we’re going to need to know how to guide them!  Many, many healers and lightworkers are needed to be guides and this training is happening now!

The Chocolate Shaman (as he’s known) was guided by ‘The Spirit of Cacao’ nearly a decade ago to find out about the Ancient Mayan’s use of Cacao for ceremony, journeying and inner work.

For many years his research drew a blank until, through a big of synchromagic, he was guided to a tribe with no contact with the outside world.  After 3 days of trekking up vast steep mountains and across raging rivers he reached them.  On his way in, he noticed cacao growing, so he asked if he could buy some; they told him to come back in a week and he could have some.

When he returned to the tribe, he shared his story with them.  He told them that he’d been guided by the Spirit of Cacao to research the Mayans use of Cacao in ceremony.  He told them that she said Cacao is ‘The Food for the Shift’.  When he shared that, there was a murmur and a hush throughout the whole village and he was approached by an elder…. (I always get shivers at this point in the story).  The elder informed him that they’d been waiting for him for 300 years!  Wow!  There’s a lot more to this story including the levels that they go to with Cacao use, I’ll share another time.

Sooo, after clearing a lot of my ‘stuff’ in Guatemala and attending many ceremonies I’m honored to be running ceremonies myself.  I’ve been using Cacao in my coaching and Soul Discovery sessions with absolutely magical results.  To be holding Cacao ceremonies is simply awe-inspiring and such a privilege.  I’ve been describing it as the sparkly cherry on top of the cake!

I didn’t realize I’d been searching, but in hindsight I was.  I flowed my bliss, my intuition, my higher self, my spirit whatever you’d like to call it and it led me to my treasure.

I’m passionate about sharing this wisdom, healing and fun worldwide, so please do connect if this resonates.

I’ll be holding events, teleseminars and working one to one with people in person and online.  Sign up if you’d like to be kept posted of events (www.SoulDiscoveryCoaching.com); you’ll also receive a report ‘3 Steps to Living Your Purpose’.

I’ll be holding a FREE teleseminar w/c February 18th , and my intention is to hold these regularly – probably every fortnight.  I put the link to The Chocolate Shaman’s website above, if you’d like to order Cacao from him, I highly recommend it as it is sacred, very high quality and processed by indigenous people.  If you’d like to take it to another level, why not take a ceremonial dose of Cacao while you listen to the teleseminar?  You can follow the instructions for consuming it on his website too, or feel free to email me souldiscoverycoaching@gmail.com.  Please do pay attention to the contraindications though (not recommended for anyone with a heart condition/on anti depressants), also fatal if consumed by dogs, parrots or horses.  Many of my clients are actually taking a ceremonial does an hour before our sessions and the results are even more phenomenal than before!

Feel free to touch base if you’d like any more information, I’ve never been so passionate about anything ever!

Share the LOVE baby!

The Power of Now; Manawa – Hawaiian Wisdom

There’s a Hawaiian principle which goes like this…. ‘Now Is The Moment of Power’, or ‘Manawa’ in the Hawaiian language.

You probably know Eckhart Tolle’s book ‘The Power of Now’ which goes into great detail about the power and gift of being in the present.

What does ‘Now is the moment of power’ or ‘The power of now’ actually mean?

Eckhart Tolle’s book combines New Age, Zen and Buddhist teachings, with a share of Christ’s wisdom.  He uses these traditions to describe a “belief system based on living in the present moment”.  Its core message is that people’s emotional problems are rooted in their identification with their minds. The author writes that an individual should be aware of their “present moment” instead of losing themselves in worry and anxiety about the past or future (from Wikipedia).

It’s also about being present to your divine guidance and inner wisdom.  From that place of silence, you are tuned into your own wisdom, intuition, higher self, soul – your guidance system.  That is the female principle, and then it’s about taking real action NOW, which is the masculine principle.  That is the key from the Hawaiian teachings – any action can ONLY be taken in the present moment, so with clarity on true action, do it now!

Not all of us can, or would want to live in a cave and meditate all day.  We’re living in this real, gritty world, with real world demands.  We have families, friendships, careers, businesses to honor and sustain and we have bills to pay.
When we walk the Shamanic path, we have a foot in both worlds.  Or as some sages put it ‘head in the clouds, feet on the ground.’

We manifest our dreams by combining the male and female energy – from the NOW moment.  We have a purpose to fulfill and a new world to create!   It’s all very well getting guidance, but if we don’t act on it, what good is it?

That is my passion!  Not airy, fairy, ethereal, never to be dreams, but dreams with the foundation that they’re true for your (powerful) heart to create so that you ARE living your true nature and purpose.

So how do we get into the moment?

Well, there’s lots of techniques to help to get the ego or mind out of the way, it depends what you love doing – and that’s crucial!  It’s gotta be fun, or at least pleasant anyway.

There’s breathing exercises, meditations, yoga, tai chi, chi kung, journeys; all sorts of things which are specifically designed with that in mind (excuse the pun).

When I started as a Shiatsu & Shamanic Practitioner, over a decade ago, I worked with quite a few high flying execs who would run a mile if I mentioned the word ‘meditation’.  I often recommended sports like swimming, because of the non-competitive nature, and the focus on the breath.  It was easy for them to switch the mind off and enter the bliss of the moment.  They often reported that they had amazing ‘aha’ moments, or breakthroughs on something that had been bothering them – because they’d taken the time to switch the over-thinking mind off.  Eckhart Tolle had a great analogy on this – he said, if you have a room that is so choca full of furniture, then you can’t fit any more in.  It’s the same with the mind, if you’re incessantly thinking, then you leave no room for inspiration, ‘aha’ moments and answers to questions that have been bothering you.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the emotions of grief and sadness are held in the lungs – so breathing exercises, tai chi & swimming etc. are great ways to naturally and effortlessly release them.  We all hold these emotions and when we release them it leads to a happier, healthier heart, and more room for joy!

It also brings us back to the Power of Now!

Sunset, Kona, Hawaii

Sunset, Kona, Hawaii

I feel like the best way to have easy access to bliss is to have a daily practice (like meditation) so you start your day clear and with an inner knowing of what “NOW” is like.  That is the “NOW” without the incessant thoughts, worries and inner voice clouding your vision.  With this foundation, there is an inner knowing as to the difference in resonance of the voice of your spirit or soul compared to that of the ego/mind.  I don’t want to put the ego down, it’s a very necessary part of us, however it has a very limited view of you, your abilities, others and the world because it’s got a limited memory – just from when you were a child til now.  It doesn’t have access to all the magic and possibilities outside of that.  It can be largely fear-based and act out like a pained, wounded child.  It’s main job is survival, safety and when you go for what your heart loves – creating your dream, the ego gets very fearful!

To be able to move outside of this way of being and have an ascended view, allows you to create your own heaven on earth.  This is what the new paradigm is all about.  The ego can so easily and destructively remove you from NOW so that the greater percentage of your focus is on worries, which means you take actions guided by worries, then creating what you do NOT want.

This brings me back to ‘Now is the moment of power’ or ‘Manawa’.  In the language of Ancient Hawaii, they were so attuned to this principle that there wasn’t even a past or future in their language.

I feel like the main reason why I was guided to write this article is to remind myself, more than you that it’s when we act on divine inspiration that we can create the life we love.

That’s what I love.  I love seeing others creating their dream of bliss.  I’m also witnessing it more and more as I travel the world learning, growing and sharing my brand of intuitive magic.  The shifts I’m witnessing are very powerful – with everyone creating their very own ‘Heaven on Earth’…  As one of my clients recently said, “one day everyone’s Heaven on Earth will manifest, and we’ll have a World of Heaven on Earth”.

Thank you 21st of December 2012!

http://youtu.be/cTAEu1YeJRo

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! That’s all I’ve been saying all day today…. the famous 21stst of December 2012.

In beautiful Guatemala celebrating this incredible end of an era time, I’m feeling sooo blissed, I feel so present, so gracious, surrounded by love and light…

One thing I’ve realised that I LOVE about my life now is that everything is flowing. The more I trust, let go, surrender with absolute focus on the qualities of what I would love… the more space I allow for magic.

The key to my magical brand of Shamanic New World Coaching is being comfortable in the unknown and I must admit that it’s not something I’ve found easy in the past. Uncertainty brings up my fear – big time!

We’re all creators; whether we’re creating what we love, or otherwise. Like any creator though, practice makes perfect.

I had a wish nearly two years ago while creating a my 2011 vision board to be so at home in my heart that I would be at home anywhere on the planet.

At the time I had no idea of the gravity of that wish. I set out to go travelling for a year and work with a Hawaiian shaman at the start of my adventure. I hit the Big Island, Hawaii and fell in love with the richness of the culture, the lushness of the land, dancing, snorkeling, dolphins, turtles, my new hobbies of freediving and underwater photography. I fell in love with the Aloha spirit and the respect and love for the Gods and Goddesses; especially Pele the Goddess of passion, dreams and purpose who lives in the live, wild volcano Haleuamama. I developed a heart connection with Pele and I also fell in love with a lot of beautiful people – one who changed me beyond recognition!

So, I can say thank Gods and Goddesses that I am now more at home in my heart than ever before. My life has developed a divine flow. After reaching a state between contentment and bliss which luckily is not now dependent on externals I am happier than ever before and everything which is external of me seems to be slotting into place in a flowing, magical, transcendent way.

My tips?

If you’re asking, I’d say to trust the journey. Of course we hold our treasure inside of us. If you feel the pull of adventure, you feel like following your passion, your purpose, or you feel like going travelling and exploring the world, follow the call, follow the call whatever it is. Of course our treasure is within and like the hero in Paolo Coelho’s best selling book ‘The Alchemist’ your treasure is within, it’s at home… but home is where the heart is, and the heart is within!

Take the leap, make 2013 the year you do what you love.

If you’d like guidance on what’s true for you to create in your life, if you’d like to visit your ‘Land of Plenty’ where everything your heart loves has already manifested, contact me: souldiscoverycoaching.com

Much love, light and magic to you on your divine, unique path!

A fun life purpose…

On a sleepy Sunday morning I set out on a Magical Adventure Mystery tour.  I felt like I’d turned the clock back many years and I was in Indiaah as I was wandering down narrow pathways, excitedly into the unknown in search of someone I didn’t know, in a place I was totally new to….. asking the words ‘Do you know where I’d find ‘The Chocolate Shaman’?  I am in San Marcos, on the beautiful banks of the very sacred Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.

Image

I’d heard wondrous stories of this Shaman’s work and what people had realised, cleared and been gifted with while working with him.  He works with the Spirit of Cacao in a similar way to those who work with the sacred medicines Ayahuasca, Peyote and the like.

I’m a newbie raw chocolate fan, I’ve only been able to eat cacao for a few months.  I only used to like milk chocolate, even some ‘chocolatey’ desserts were too strong for me, but I realised I was missing something so I asked my spirit guides to change my tastes and lo and behold now, I do like cacao!  Lucky really, and just in time for my Sacred Chocolate Experience!

So, following the rather vague directions I’d been given, I set off on paths un-trodden by me in search of this mystery man.  After being told by some that he was out of town and getting strange looks by most to my question of his whereabouts I stayed focused on my end result of sitting with him.  Eventually I found a gate with information of cacao and ceremonies – hurrah!  The holy grail existed …. and I found it!

“Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves To

Recognise how good things really are.”

Marianne Williamson

I was greeted by him and his lady, Barbara.  I was actually the first one there and I had butterflies.  I wasn’t sure if they were caused by fear or love.  I quoted a favourite saying of mine; ‘the only difference between fear and excitement is the breath’, so I breathed, deeply.  I knew something big was afoot by the feeling in my body – I tend to get a bit excited and heady when my ego knows something is up and it’s going to be turned into a sleeping, soppy, smoldering puppy dog rather than the sometimes rather fearful controlling stroppy dog it can be.  Then, the ceremony began…..

I must say that the drinking of the chocolate was a gentle, beautiful experience and as I added (heavenly raw) vanilla and cayenne pepper to taste, a fellow journeyer & I joked about adding heat to allow the fire to come up.  I agreed that there was sooo much truth in that as I seemed to be on a volcano hunt, having just lived on the Big Island for a looong time… so strange, so had he – and in exactly the same place I’d been!  No such thing as coincidences, and a beautiful friend was made.  Anyway, what transpired during the ceremony was one of the most beautiful, gentle and effective healings I’ve ever experienced.  Not to go into too much of the details, what I learned, or remembered (as we’re just in this life to put into action all we’ve learned in previous lives) was that we no longer need to take on others pain to heal it.  We can keep it outside of ourselves and lay with it, sending it up to the skies (and whoever our beings are up there) or down to the earth’s core for more transmutation.  When we get ‘heavy’ with it or it’s hard work, that’s simply the ego.  What’s so strange and wonderful about this is that this was the guidance I’d been given a few days ago when tuning into my new website – that when people connect with it, they are tapping into a source intergalactic healing – how awesome?!

“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”

Joseph Campbell

I realized that as an empath I’d started taking in other people’s stuff at an early age and I’d continued to do so, especially in love relationships.  Enough of that!  I let go of a lot of sadness, of course some anger and I learned a new, easy, fun way of instantly sending healing energy to others while allowing non-attachment and more heart opening on my part!  I work mainly with other coaches and healers, allowing them to fully connect with their life purpose, while living a prosperous life and making a massive difference on the planet.  I’m really excited to pass my learnings on to them, I love that it can be sooo easy and so much fun as we heal this planet.

The Shaman’s name is Keith and he is a practising intuitive, who has been using chocolate for ‘inner work’ for nearly a decade.  They often travel worldwide rather than keeping their magic in the wilds of Guatemala.  I’ll keep you informed of his whereabouts and I’d love it if you could contact me if you’re interested in arranging ceremonies for him, or myself.

He’s a real mover and shaker in getting the next wave of lightworkers ready and shining to create ripples of love and healing out into the world.

And by the way, yes, I was turned into a soppy, soft, sunny puppy dog with soooo much wisdom…. and of course, the journey continues.

Please pass on my blog and check out my facebook pages so we stay connected…
